Operate, monitor and maintain generating systems associated with Solar, Distributed Energy Resources (DERMS), Hydro, Reciprocating Engines (RICE), Combustion Turbines (CT's) & Combined Cycle Combustion Turbines (CCCT's) facilities while demonstrating safety awareness that will continuously improve performance through the use and strict adherence to procedures and processes. Job duties/responsibilities:
Work an assigned shift in the ROCC as part of 24x7 coverage to operate & monitor multiple new assets and to monitor existing fleet assets.
Collaborates with other groups within the ROCC, including co-location regulatory compliance requirements working with the Energy Management Organization (EMO) and Performance Monitoring Analytics Center (PMAC).
Maintain regulatory compliance and be proactive in dealing with all agencies to avoid reportable violations
Be responsible for NERC/CIP compliance associated with Remote Operations functions
Performs startup and shutdown functions of plant and associated equipment as required per instructions from System
Planning Operations (SPO) & The Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) meeting system load requirements
Foster the importance of a safety-oriented culture & the use of human performance tools.
Champion strategic vision and direction of the organization with a continuous improvement and commercial mindset.
Facilitate and participate in job briefings, shift-turn overs, and safety meetings.
Develops procedures, checklists, and performance measures to monitor process controls to ensure that all operations and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
Complies with system critical conditions, suspending testing, maintenance, surveillance, equipment swaps and other activities upon issuance of conservative operations or max generation notices from MISO, The Load Balancing Authority (LBA), or Transmission Operators.
Support plant efforts to ensure stakeholder expectations are met; continue to foster and maintain an inclusive environment.
Minimum requirements:
2 Year associate degree in industrial Electronics, Instrumentation/ Controls or Production/Process Technology or equivalent work experience.
5 years operations experience in drum type, supercritical, or CCCT fossil fueled power plants. (RFO Sr)
7 years operations experience in drum type, supercritical, with extensive experience operating CCCT power plants. (RFO Sr Lead)
Preferred: Recognized training program in power plant operations, power plant systems &/or power plant performance.

Qualifications
Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
