The Lowry Lab at Michigan State University is searching for a postdoctoral research associate to conduct molecular and physiological experiments to understand the causes of genetic variation in cold acclimation and freezing tolerance in the bioenergy crop switchgrass. This work builds on prior research by our group, which found that locally adapted switchgrass induces cold acclimation at higher temperatures and gains much greater freezing tolerance as a result of acclimation.
