The ultimate objective of this computational project is to prioritize new compounds for experimental testing. This postdoctoral fellow position will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes biologists, chemists, and data scientists. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in bioinformatics and cheminformatics, working knowledge of multivariate statistical and data mining techniques, and strong programming skills. Experience with developing and maintaining large databases is a plus. The department enrolls approximately 120 graduate students and 140 undergrad physics majors. The department size is approximately 56 faculty members. Duties and Responsibilities: * The Postdoc candidate will work on theoretical topics related to nuclear and neutrino astrophysics. * The Postdoc candidate will collaborate with colleagues at Notre Dame and MIT and travel for at least a month each year to one of these institutions. * The Postdoc candidate will also go to conferences, give talks and write papers to disseminate their research results.
