Basic Qualifications
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
- 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

The Marine Population Genomics Lab at the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences (SAFS) invites applications for a full time PostdoctoralScholar (PDRA) to develop genomic tools and protocols for large scale genetic mark recapture (GMR) programs in Atlantic Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus thynnus) in the northwestern Atlantic. The project is a collaboration among Lorenz Hauser, Ray Hilborn (SAFS) and Steve and Chris Weiner of the The Bluefin Collaborative, a group of commercial, charter, and recreational tuna fishermen and other stakeholders interested in combining innovative science and hands-on fishing experience to improve tuna management. Specifically, the successful candidate will re-sequence tuna genomes to improve estimates of stock structure, reduce the proportion of individuals that cannot be assigned to population, and develop a multiallelic marker panel for routine application in GMR. The project spans population genomics, fisheries ecology and management, as well as fundamental and applied science, and will receive input from a range of stakeholders (e.g. NOAA, ICCAT, DFO).
The PDRA will work within the Marine Ecology Research Lab, a large lab consisting of four faculty, two PDRAs, five PhD students, two Masters' students and a varying number of undergraduates. Depending on interest, there may be opportunities to become involved in other projects or to mentor graduate and undergraduate students. The PDRA will be expected to present results at conferences and in meetings with stakeholders, provide written and oral reports to collaborators, and to publish results in the peer-reviewed literature.
This is a full time, 12-month (1-year) position with possibility of reappointment for a second year, dependent on performancer and funding. University of WashingtonPostdoctoralScholar appointments are for a temporary, defined period not to exceed five years/60 months, including any previous postdoctoral experience. Applicants who have met all doctoral degree requirements but have not yet had their degrees conferred may apply. Such candidates will be appointed as a PostdoctoralScholar Conditional for a maximum of 12 months. What is Graduate Researcher Program?
The GRP (Graduate Researcher Program) is a unique 10-12 week internship program designed specifically for students pursuing their PhD. GRP is a hybrid experience of real-world industry work experience combined with development programming that exposes students to Boeing, its products, services and its people. GRP focuses on deeply connecting students to their team and Boeing through work experience across multiple summers with the goal of ultimately offering a full-time position at the conclusion of academic studies if a mutual fit is achieved.
How GRP Works:
GRP host teams post opportunities aligned with Boeing needs in hopes of matching to top PhD talent. Upon application and selection, successful applicants receive an offer to spend the following summer with the host team. The program aims to provide interns with a valuable opportunity to gain deeper experience at Boeing with their host team, while applying academic skills and expertise to help solve real-world industry challenges and opportunities.

2026 GRP Position:
This GRP position will be hosted in Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) in the Flight Sciences division. Flight Engineering is at the very heart of product-level design, integration and support. We work at every phase of the product lifecycle, from initial concept to fleet support. We define requirements, do detailed design, analyze configurations, integrate across many disciplines, certify the product and provide fleet support. We are the experts who apply skills ranging from computational fluid dynamics to flight and wind tunnel testing to weight forecasting and performance assessments to aeroservoelastics and vibroacoustics and to sales support.

Support development of CFD solver code development. Focus on Finite Element solver development, meshing, and supporting engineers using the applications.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

We're looking for an experienced Staff / Senior Staff Research Scientist to push the boundaries of applied machine learning and AI at Opendoor. While this role will have a significant impact on our valuation systems - ensuring we provide the most accurate and transparent pricing possible - the scope goes well beyond pricing. What You'll Need
Strong software engineering and coding skills in Python, with experience contributing to production codebases
9+ years of experience developing and deploying ML models end-to-end - from research and prototyping to implementation in production systems

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $238,400 - $327,800 annually, plus RSUs and bonuses.
