A full-time postdoctoral position is available on an annual 12- month appointment in the Yang Lab in the Center for Stem Cell Genomics at the University of Washington. The lab focuses on generating and utilizing pluripotent stem cell and primate models to dissect the cellular and molecular mechanisms of embryogenesis and investigate reproductive complications, including infertility and miscarriage. The University of Washington's Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center has an opening for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join an NIH-funded project investigating brain and behavioral development in early childhood. This longitudinal study focuses on auditory processing and aims to identify neural and behavioral predictors of late language emergence in both typically developing infants and those at risk for language delays. Leveraging longitudinal EEG and behavioral assessments, the research seeks to discover early markers that can facilitate timely diagnosis and inform targeted interventions for infants vulnerable to delayed language development. The Department of Astronomy at the University of Washington is seeking applications for a postdoctoral research position in high-redshift extragalactic astronomy. The successful candidate will join the research group led by Prof. Arianna Long, using multiwavelength observations to study the formation and evolution of massive galaxies in the early cosmos. Successful applicants may work on a variety of different projects and datasets, including data from the JWST COSMOS-Web Treasury Program, the ALMA 2mm Ex-MORA Program, and the CHAMPS 1mm Program. Candidates with expertise in JWST and/or ALMA image manipulation, spectral energy distribution fitting, hot/warm/cold dust in distant galaxies, and/or measuring spatially resolved galaxy properties are especially encouraged to apply, though consideration will be given to a wide range of specialties.
