I love the last sentiment. I had a much higher paying job, but I was completely miserable. I work more hours now, but I'm happy to work them and be out in the world.
What market are you in? I haven't seen anyone making 4k a mo in a very long time
Yeah except the CEO of Jimmy Johns is a complete and utter *** who I wouldn't work for, nor will I ever eat there. They're on my lifetime boycott list, along with Hobby Lobby & Chick FilA
I drive in Nashville and did a delivery to the office once. It was an interesting experience for me, made me feel like I didn't work for a robot. I kinda wondered if it was a set up, like some supervisor wanted to see what I look like, which I would understand but I absolutely love not feeling like I have a boss. Anyway it was in Cummings Station in the basement but I heard they moved to a higher floor, nicer digs, recently. Oh, and it gave me some perspective to see there were at least 35 people working in there, when I sort of have a hard time imagining there being 35 drivers at once, but I bet there are hundreds (in Nashville)
Ya... Cash, non-taxable (means more money in your pocket)... I Mean... You are suppose to report it. *Wink*
Flexible with my schedule and family life.
Pay is not reasonable for all the duties that are required.
Get my funds instantly
Freedom to decide what hours I want to work and I could take my toddler with me.
People who don’t have their address numbers on their houses.
Being able to be with my son.
Earning money
Bad traffic
I really really enjoyed the friendly customers that I gave the food to.
The money. And believe me, I made $80 a day one time, that was the best time in my life.
The pettiness. It was so awe full having to deal with people that gave me four stars because I didn’t give them ketchup.
Working whenever you want.
Earning money
They would cancel the order with me halfway getting to the restaurant
Eating Chinese food
Able to set my own schedule.
The orders not being prepared on time.
Meeting new people and seeing someone smile.
Exciting experience of delivering throughout Washington, DC.
No support.
None.
Worse gig-economy company. Average $6 per hour after costs. Zero employee support. Perfect work for naive people who are bad at math, terrible.
Zero employee support. Wildwest, anything goes.
$6 per hour average, after costs. Awful.
Dealing with people
The way the pay was
Surge time and the way money was floating
Relaxed environment, great managers, free snacks/coffee etc, good pay and benefits.
Working in the sales department is a glorified call center, make a lot of cold calls etc.
Casual environment and dress code

Just general customer service by phone and email. We don't place orders, we have offshore agents specifically for that. I work in Nashville, but Postmates is mainly based out of San Francisco.
