Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Complete duties as a Housekeeping Attendant and clean public areas as assigned.
* Clean and restock carts and linen closets to clean par, and stock all Housekeeping areas with appropriate supplies.
* Take soiled linens to laundry room and replace with clean par.
* Dust entire guest room, furniture, fixtures and woodwork.
* Replenish guestroom supplies.
* Clean bathroom and replenish amenities.
* Clean and/or vacuum the floors.
* Ensure the security of all guestrooms and hotel property, report damages/problems or malfunctions to Supervisor. Complete work orders for any building and/or equipment repairs that are needed.
* Collect and document all items left by guests in rooms and/or public areas.
* Check and secure the room.
* Complete assigned work in allotted time.
* Complete a hotel area door check at the end of every shift. Secure non-guest rooms not in use.
* Be accountable for and have knowledge of laundry duties property-wide, to include use of commercial equipment.
* Assure efficient collection, sorting, cleaning and distribution of laundry.
* Sort soiled linens on the basis of linen type, article type, and soil type; inspect linens for damage, removing items from circulation if necessary.
* Handle stain removal and reject procedures by performing pre- and post-treatment of stains.
* Perform proper washing, drying, folding, ironing, mending and stocking of all linens according to procedures.
* Load and unload all washers and dryers according to the linen and article type, machine instructions and requirements, and safety guidelines. Clean lint traps in dryers a minimum of twice per shift and otherwise as needed.
* Operate laundry finishing equipment including folding equipment, iron, and sewing machine.
* Complete laundry reports and information and give to the Hotel Guest Room Supervisor.
* At the end of the shift ensure that all equipment is turned off and that the rollers on the iron are in an "up" position.
* Be friendly, personable, and courteous; smile and have a positive attitude with guests and co-workers.
* Answer telephone calls and inquiries from other associates and guests. Assist guests and co-workers as needed, and respond to guest requests for assistance, direction, and other information to insure that requests are handled in a timely manner.
* Assist Casino Housekeepers with cleaning and minor repairs of public areas.
* Adhere to all safety, sanitation and preventive maintenance guidelines while working.
* Learn about and properly use chemicals related to job.
* Know, understand, and follow all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will work near moving parts and extreme noise, such as espresso/coffee makers, blenders, grinders and brewing machines and may be exposed to extreme temperatures, such as making hot/iced drinks or using freezer/refrigerator.
