Job Qualifications

Job Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of progressively responsible, related experience in a venue of similar size are required. An Associate's degree can take the place of 1 year of experience. High volume restaurant operations experience preferred.
One year of supervisory experience is required.
The ability to successfully achieve Responsible Alcohol and ServSafe certifications within 90 days.
Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.
The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally, including the ability to speak in front of small groups of team members.
The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, sit, and move freely throughout the property, The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Working Conditions
The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free. Provide guests with the highest quality service to exceed their expectations
Set up events according to recommended standards and Event Order specifications while presenting an attractive and elegant space
Clear spaces after events and begin resetting as appropriate
Cater food, beverages and supplies to other areas including Prairie Island
Maintain cleanliness and order in event spaces and banquet work station
Complete daily and weekly cleaning as assigned
Operate point-of-sales system and handle cash and cash equivalents
Assist the Boat Captain with various cleaning and maintenance of the boat
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Preferred Knowledge and Certification:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
1-year wait staff experience
Previous guest service experience in a similar "teamwork" environment
Previous cash handling experience
Required Skills:

Above average math skills
Required Abilities:
Ability to work fast and efficiently
Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene

Responsibilities:
Safety and Security of the passengers, crew and vessel.
Safe vessel operations, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
Prudent vessel maneuvering, docking, undocking, and anchoring.
Comprehensive daily inspection of all vessel interior and exterior spaces.
Supervision and Development of Mates, Engineers, and Deckhands.
Oversight of Hotel Officers and Service Crew ensuring five-star guest service.
Captain hospitality greetings at the gangway, guest safety announcements, and special dinner events.
Administrative log keeping, reports, and communications.
Leadership of safe, secure, clean, and comfortable onboard environment for passengers and crew.
Typical March-November Season: 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off or 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off.
Qualifications:
U.S. Coast Guard Master's license: minimum 100T, desired 1600T or greater.
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
Captain experience on coastal and river waterways: min 2yrs, desired 5yrs with Z-drive experience.
Excellent communication skills and team-building skills.
Pre-employment drug test and continual participation in random testing.
