Job Description ** A Fab Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machines used in the fabrication process. They work in manufacturing or production settings, ensuring that machines are set up correctly, monitoring their operation, and making adjustments as needed. The Fab Machine Operator follows safety protocols, inspects finished products for quality, and troubleshoots any issues that arise during the fabrication process. They may also be responsible for routine maintenance and cleaning of the machines. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. **Essential Responsibilities ** Determine size and length requirements of each operation specified, within given allowable tolerance. Select and transport material to different work areas manually or using machinery. Measuring and marking sheet metal according to templates. Operate metalworking machines to cut punch, drill, and shape or straighten sheet metal. Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces. Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment and its tooling, as well as small electric and air tools. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications. Perform repairs on machinery. Assist in inventory control. Promote a safety culture as well as attend all safety meetings. Ensures quality by following standard work instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality. Ensure work areas remain clean and well organized. **Minimum Qualifications ** Minimum education level of a High School Diploma is preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience working in metal fabrication an asset. Familiarity with Turret, Press Brake, Plasma, Laser Beam copper and other metal working equipment is an asset. Familiarity with an MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is considered an asset. Must be able to work from all type of ladders (step ladders, "A" frame ladders and all size extension ladders) and scaffolding. Working at heights usually no higher than 30 feet in the air on or using proper lift equipment. **Physical Requirements ** Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs. Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction in a repetitive manner continuously. Continuous standing, walking 50-300-foot distances for long periods of time with only occasional sitting. Must be able to climb stairs frequently throughout the shift. Able to frequently look over shoulders, work with both arms above shoulders and use both arms at full length frequently. Using upper extremities to apply or exert a force continuously up to 50lbs. Ability to use hand tools such as tin snips, hammer, and power tools (some vibrating), for long periods of time with frequent repetition

At Hidden Valley Orchards, we strive to create a family friendly agritourism experience. In 2025, the farm team will be planting and caring for over 2,000 apple trees, a market garden, u-pick pumpkins, a crop maze, livestock, grapes, and more. We will assist with projects around the farm as needed and generally be available to the larger agritourism operation as needed (i.e., hay wagon rides, lawn and garden care, etc.). We are seeking farm hands for the main farming season from August to November with the potential to extend the role in the future. Powell Service Division is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Service Technician interested in joining one of the nation's leading providers of medium and low voltage switchgear. Powell Service Technicians are responsible for ensuring the end-to-end safety, quality and performance of Powell equipment across the US and Canada. This includes performing installations, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and periodic supervision of small crews. Senior Service Technicians must exhibit knowledge of Electrical Industry manufacturing standards. Specific standards include sections of ANSI IEEE C37 applicable to the design and manufacture of breakers and switchgear. Specific knowledge of the following: ANSI IEEE device function numbers; ampacities of electrical conductors in switchgear applications; electrical air and surface creepage clearance requirements. Demonstrate knowledge in the design and manufacture of bus and structural modification projects. Powell also requires that all Service Technicians undergo Factory Certified Technician training and maintain a passing grade. The Senior Service Technician must be experienced in the art of writing accurate and complete test reports, project summaries and has the ability to explain anomalies found on a given project. Knowledge of basic electrical theory and control circuits i.e.: Ohm's Law; Basic AC and DC theory; contactor and circuit breaker schematics are a must. The Senior Service Technician must be able to perform of hi-pot testing and breaker function testing. i.e.: testing of over-current and motor protection relays with current injection; acceptance testing of dielectric apparatus using over voltage testing; mechanical and electrical functional testing of circuit breakers and electrical switchgear. The Senior Service Technician will also be expected to demonstrate proficiency with computer skills using Oracle, MS Outlook, Power DB, Word & Excel. Additional requirements include but are not limited to: Working knowledge with using the following test equipment: Hi potential, DLRO, Multi-meter, dial caliper. Must demonstrate working knowledge with the use of various hand tools and mechanical adaptability. Must have verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in problem solving is a preferred. Under general direction of the HSE Manager and Manufacturing Director this position serves as coordinator for occupational safety programs within one or more divisions and/or departments. Plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate departmental occupational safety programs. WEEKEND SHIFT: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays 6am - 6:30pm As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment, both automated and manual. In addition to production equipment, you will be responsible for maintaining Facilities equipment and systems such as HVAC equipment, electrical systems and various mechanical devices used throughout the facility.
