COLD & FOOD GROUP:
Specializing in Design+Build cold storage and food processing facilities nationwide, our in-house team comprises architects, engineers, construction managers, and self-perform crews focused on our project's most critical components, such as the building's thermal envelope, MEP and refrigeration systems.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide overall management for pre-construction activities and work with the superintendent to ensure successful project completion. Ensure client satisfaction is maintained. Make decisions and recommendations which can greatly impact corporate relationships with client and profitability of projects which he/she manages. Acts without close supervision. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and strengthen client relationship.

The Site Safety Manager performs overall safety management and support functions for a local construction project. The position will focus on a 1 to 2 year project. Read work order. Set up cart. Lay down drop cloths or masking tape and paper. Remove fixtures if needed. Smooth surfaces using sandpaper, scarpers, brushes, steel wool and sanding machines. Bring bucket over using cart. Mix paint in bucket. Fill up air sprayer. Pour paint into paint trowel or tray. Use roller with long handle to paint surfaces or air gun to spray surfaces. Roll or spray surfaces in an up & down motion. This movement is repetitive. Some location will require hand painting using trowel. Use scaffold for high level surfaces. When using scaffold complete work from the waist level and up. This could be 25-100% of the day depending on assignment. Erect scaffolds and ladders.
Wall paper: Place strips of wallpaper onto table. Use clamp to keep wallpaper in place. Use roller to roll glue compound onto strips of wallpaper. Raise ends and lightly fold wallpaper. Set finished strip to side. Roll glue onto several wallpaper strips and carry over to work area. Align wallpaper to wall, using plate to smooth and get air bubbles out. This will activate the glue to the walls. Cut end of wallpaper if too long. Use scaffold for high level surfaces.

Position Overview:
To oversee, plan, coordinate and implement the management of project teams to ensure they are complying with company quality control plan requirements and project contract requirements; assist in the implementation of FHP 3-Phase Quality Control Plan for the Division; Manage the QC Managers/QC Technicians project assignments and responsibilities. Work with the company quality committee to improve and adapt the FHP 3-Phase Quality Control Program.
Responsibilities:
Monitor field work performed by Independent Testing Agencies and fabrication/manufacturing companies.
Perform receiving inspections of material to be used in project work and compare with approved submittals.
Monitor subcontractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, project contract requirements and industry standards when applicable.
Coordinate and Schedule quality inspection testing needs with project teams and QC Managers.
Able to identify non-conforming work and develop corrective action plans.
Review/Prepare reports and quality records in compliance with company quality procedures.
Process, file and maintain project quality control documentation.
Strong understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program and applicable industry standards.
Develop understanding of project contract requirements and specifications.
Document and maintain punch list to track outstanding work that needs to be completed prior to substantial completion.
Develop new quality control check sheets when required.
Perform internal/external quality control audits.
Review project schedule for quality inspection and testing needs.
Attend weekly owner progress meetings when required.
Attend weekly subcontractor meetings when required.
Attend pre-activity meetings prior to start of work.
Review inspection firms for qualifications for projects.
Develop contract scopes for testing firms and inclusions for subcontractors.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of related quality assurance/quality control, inspection or operations experience in construction industry.
Good working knowledge of industry Building standards, Bridge and Highway standards and federal/local government agencies quality control requirements and specifications.
QA/QC certifications, inspection certifications and/or related certifications are desirable but not required.
Ability to effectively work well with Testing Agencies, subcontractors and project staff members.
Strong verbal/written communication skills.
Strong managerial skills.
Strong organizational skills.

Assisting in emergency rescues as required
Assisting in maintaining fire protection and grounding systems
Compiling data, photographs, pertinent forms, and reports, as well as conducting employee interviews associated with accidents.
Conducting industrial hygiene samples to ensure safe working conditions.
Other duties as assigned.

Project Management

Develop a list of qualified subcontract bidders using PowerTools to attain the per trade requirements. Communicate with subcontract bidders to increase coverage if necessary.
Receive and analyze Subcontractor bids as they relate to drawings, specifications and scope of work using bid day form.
Field Operations /Safety Support
Maintain daily logs, participate in Subcontractor meetings to coordinate activities.
Complete daily jobsite walk to review conditions / progress and assist in completing audits, inspections and daily logs.
Update construction documents on site. Participate in coordination and pre-installation meetings. Generate field documentation to assist the LEED Project Coordinator in final submission to approving authorities.
Generate punchlist, determine responsible subcontractor for each item and follow up with subcontractor(s) to ensure timely completion.
Work on site and interact with clients, owner's reps or end users/unit owners as required by a project.
