This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

Essential skills and experience:
+ BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
+ 12 years of transmission design experience.
+ Proficiency with PLS-CADD software.
+ Experience must include preparation of scopes of work, development of conceptual designs, determination of design basis, the selection of equipment and materials, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications.
+ Experience working directly with clients on transmission lines from 69kV through 500kV.
+ Knowledge of engineering standards including NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE and ANSI.
+ Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.

Job Requirements/Qualifications
(4 to 7) years of experience in Electrical Design in Consulting Engineering.
Working knowledge of design and analysis software such as Revit, SKM, ETAP, Easypower.
Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), State Energy Code, NFPA, and FGI Guidelines.
Experience with electrical system studies such as short circuit, over-current device coordination, and Arc Flash Hazard analysis per NPFA 70E.
Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues.
Coordinate with technical leads and senior engineers when specialized assistance is needed on design.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Experience of Linux command line (at least understands basics)
* Basic ability to troubleshoot complex software / hardware configuration problems.
* Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage continuously changing business needs; excellent time management skills required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience of training program is a huge plus
* Any customer service skills is good to have

JOB SUMMARY
Designs new, high voltage electrical distribution systems (EDS), low voltage wiring harness products and makes improvements to existing products. Evaluates products and processes for cost efficiency and reliability. Works with other members to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner. Ensures that products, processes, and documentation conform to specifications and customer requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Designs electrical distribution system (EDS) products to meet all customer requirements and internal design standards, including high voltage wiring and smart junction boxes.
• Designs high Voltage Cables and Connectors and work directly with their suppliers
• Designs low voltage wiring harnesses and battery cables
• Generates a Bill of Material (BOM) and prints for product designs.
