Under general to minimal supervision, provides technical design and CADD support on projects to produce designs and specifications to be used for planning, transportation, infrastructure, and technical services business lines. Tasks may include developing skills and generating CADD designs on various assigned projects of basic complexity. Generates accurate and concise design phase deliverables including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans and profiles, models, sections, details, specifications, and material lists. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, accuracy, and functionality.
**Your Impact**
+ Under general supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, structural concepts, blueprints, schematics, data, verbal or written specifications, technical drawings, rough sketches, diagrams, and other matrices to support drafting and design activities.
+ Under general supervision, use computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software to assist with basic design details and prepare drawings which require a high degree of precision.
+ Provide basic technical design assistance that accounts for the proper illustration, fit form, and function using geometric dimensioning, tolerance and quantity calculations, while ensuring the construction and maintainability of designs according to design standard specifications.
+ Assist with verifying calculations, design, change orders, interpretation of contract plans and specifications, and escalating any issues or technical problems for appropriate resolution.
+ Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work.
+ Assure plans adhere to city code, state and federal regulations.
+ Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by engineer.
+ Ensure the specification of dimensions, materials, and procedures for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
+ Work collaboratively with the engineer-in-charge and other technical professionals on assigned project phases, segments, checks, and tasks.
+ Complete training on assigned tasks.
+ Exhibit basic knowledge of current drafting and design support practices.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

+ High School Diploma.
+ Minimum of 3 year of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior drafting and design support experience.
+ Familiar with drafting and design support principles, practices, process, methods and techniques.
+ Familiar with relevant codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
+ Excellent research and evaluation skills with analytical mindset.
+ Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.

We are currently seeking a Forensic Pathologist - American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board-certified physician. Experience in trauma and disease processes is preferred. This individual will be a part of our Biomechanics Practice. In this role, you will often work as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role will include collaboration with scientists and engineers to provide detailed medical expert analysis and conclusions.
You will be responsible for
Rendering medical expert opinions including, in part, injury causation analyses and evaluation of pathologic natural disease processes
Evaluating complex events involving high severity and potential demise
Detailed review of provided antemortem and postmortem information, such as autopsy findings, medical records, radiology, photographs, laboratory tests, and investigative reports
Clearly communicating medical findings and opinions to a variety of audiences, including technical experts, attorney clients, and lay stakeholders
Preparing detailed expert State and Federal reports and opinion disclosures as required
Participating in teleconferences with stakeholders and clearly verbally communicating findings to non-medical individuals

Compensation
Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Manager level and above, total compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.

This is expanding work in the Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group. You will work on major process controls engineering projects in the following areas:
+ Develop and market high level, complex programs for nuclear power projects associated with design, operational excellence, safety, maintenance, and project management
+ This position will offer you the opportunity to direct technical decision making, in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing power plant controls systems, specifically digital upgrades

+ Interface with vendors and prepare and review equipment purchase specifications
+ Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner to meet client requirements

+ Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction

POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is currently initiating a search for a **Mid-Level Substation P&C Design Engineer** for our **Duluth, GA** office. Be involved in projects with our **Power Delivery Substation Team** and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.
Provides technical assistance and guidance for the due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, design, development, and construction of utility, industrial, and commercial scale projects in the public and private sector. Assist with the research, design, concept development, and construction of transmission and distribution substations, power distribution, power regulation, renewable energy, as well as protection and control systems in a wide variety of contexts (utilities, transportation, building, and Federal, State, and local government projects). Generates accurate and concise reports and documentation regarding material, installations, component, and construction specifications. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
**Your Impact**
+ Collect, compile, and analyze data relating to substation components, equipment specifications for procurement package development and pricing, IFR/IRC design and review processes, and IEEE/NESC Standards/NERC regulations for design work.
+ Assist in reviewing third-party design documents, procurement lists, and project plans.
+ Perform professional electrical engineering work relating to the design of single line, three line, AC/DC schematics, SCADA & DFR connections, wiring diagrams, general arrangement, substation layout and bus arrangement, grounding grid design and lightning protection in conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.
+ Participate in incorporating future-ready techniques, concept development, operating strategies, and various design requirements with equipment sizing and cabling, AC/DC panel design, and conduit and trenching design strategies that account for the safety and functionality of end-users, systems, and infrastructure.
+ Support senior engineers with research and recommendations of fundamental components identified in design requirements, as well as field equipment applications and operations.
+ Verify the characteristics of a site, providing technical assistance on various engineering, design, testing maintenance modifications, and construction procedures and issues.
+ Develop electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, feeder sizing, voltage drop, grounding, lighting circuits and controls, facility and electrical service, and power distribution.
+ Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, accurate reports, sketches, calculations, and illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of data, findings, or analyses.
+ Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise measurements, statistical analysis, and reporting.
+ Work as an individual or as part of a cross-functional team of engineers, planners, scientific, and construction professionals to execute project work, assist with laying out installations, calculating costs and quantities of material/equipment/labor, and ensuring project work conforms with specifications, permit applications, compliance documentation, and regulatory and technical analysis memos.
+ Assist with development and scoping of small- to medium-sized projects.
+ Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations that explain research and findings to improve, prevent, control, restore, or address design and/or electrical engineering issues or problems.
+ Conduct engineering studies and surveys to gain further information on a particular design and construction problem or issue and/or to plan for future needs.
+ Assist in the analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of data obtained during field investigations, offering input with developing action plans for low to mid-level risk mitigation activities.
+ Assist in the preparation and implementation of site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
+ Work collaboratively with other engineers and disciplines on projects with electrical infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

**Who You Are**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
+ 3 to 5 years of relevant post education experience in an electrical engineering capacity designing power transmission and distribution systems in utility or industrial/commercial environments.
+ Exposure to operations and project controls experience for purposes of reporting.
+ Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
+ Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design.
+ Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and understand requirements.
+ Knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
+ Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
+ Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
+ Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies.
+ Moderate proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools.
+ Experience with discipline-specific design software (i.e., CADD, Aspen, CAPE, ETAP), AutoCADD electrical.
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
+ Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
+ Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

The Senior Automation & Controls Engineer leads and executes Automation and Controls Engineering design activities for minor to major scale Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects in food, consumer products, pharmaceutical, life science, aerospace and industrial facilities. Responsible for executing automation and controls deliverables for project(s) in the front end, detailed design, construction, and start-up phases. Projects range from controls projects working directly for the client to controls self-execution on full scale Automation and Controls EPC projects.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree in Controls, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 7 years electrical engineering experience. EPC project and Automation 7 Controls experience preferred.
+ Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and 6 years electrical engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.
+ Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong knowledge of electrical equipment design ANSI and IEEE Standards. Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
+ Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
