**Who You Are**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related major, or equivalent experience in a technical or engineering firm.
+ 10+ years of relevant post education experience in a project management role in large-scale project management or project engineer experience with high voltage electric power projects including generation, transmission, substation, and distribution projects.
+ A variety of experience is required, however extensive experience in transmission, and substation projects is desired (i.e. not the vast majority in distribution).
+ Ten (10) + years of relevant experience in the management of large-scale projects or large portfolios with the familiarity of project/portfolio-related tools and management processes.
+ Solid understanding of core components of electric utility technical systems, project flows, and operational processes.
+ Experienced with leading large teams of employees, customers, partner companies, and subcontractors on high-voltage electric power supply projects- Experienced with marketing/selling, client presentations, and negotiations within the electric power industry.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

The Structural Project Designer is to work independently on small projects, and as a team member of larger projects under the guidance of a Structural Project Engineer. The Senior Paleontologist will work as part of a dynamic team that is based in Southern California but includes staff members across the United States. Stantec Paleontology is one of the largest paleontological mitigation programs in the country, holding numerous statewide Bureau of Land Management and project-specific United States Forest Service and National Park Service paleontological permits. Our team includes over 30 paleontologists, including field technicians and directors, fossil preparators, and principal investigators. Stantec supports a wide range of paleontology projects, from multi-state transmission and pipeline projects to road improvements, solar fields, private development, and more. We offer support through all stages of permitting and development, including preconstruction surveys and assessments, construction mitigation programs, and fossil treatment. Our Monrovia, California and Denver, Colorado offices include fossil preparation workspaces, with museum-quality preparation equipment.
Within this team, the Senior Paleontologist will direct compliance projects for state, federal, and commercial clients and is responsible for overseeing project development, direction, coordination, and quality control, under the guidance of the Principal Paleontologist. Additionally, the Senior Paleontologist will train staff, oversee field directors, produce quality reports, manage multiple projects and budgets, author proposals and participate in marketing, as required.

- Preparation and review of paleontological technical reports, CEQA/NEPA documents, impact mitigation plans, and annual permit reports.
- Preparation of cost proposals including budgets and scopes of work.
- Project management: implementation of projects from kickoff to completion, including client and agency coordination, project scheduling, coordination of support staff, and budget management.
Implementation of resource impact mitigation measures including monitoring and fossil collection projects of all types and sizes.

Qualifications

The Grid Integration Specialist (Integration Specialist) will act as a subject matter expert within the Policy & Regulatory team (Policy & Regulatory) in delivering exceptional market research, regulatory knowledge and advising, and comprehensive understanding of North American interconnection requirements and grid integration processes to support the Policy & Regulatory, and MTC teams' energy clients. To achieve this the Integration Specialist will focus on Independent Power Producers, large load customers, utilities, public utility commissions and regulatory authorities, FERC, and industrial market and energy research. The Integration Specialist will be responsible for executing the delivery of client interconnection applications through initial project scoping, application preparation, interface and management of interconnection deliverables, regulatory strategy, and portfolio strategy. Along with leading interconnection activities the Integration Specialist will undertake continuous policy, regulatory and energy market research to stay apprised of developments in the North American energy, water, and industrial sectors.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Practice Leader, Policy & Regulatory as well as members of the MTC team to implement the strategic direction and impact of the Policy & Regulatory group across markets, including:
- Continuous refinement, and delivery of Policy & Regulatory's project portfolio and value propositions in accordance with changing policy and regulatory landscapes across North America.
- Supporting proposal development and pursuit of client opportunities requiring premium-rate advisory consulting services with exceptional value delivery.
- Deliver consistency of the Policy & Regulatory team's high-value, premium client experience from initial bid through to project closeout.

- Advise on regulatory decisions and interpretation of permissibility of technologies, market rules, and project development optionality for energy clients.
- Conduct benchmarking and research-based advisory services through publicly accessible public utility commission or regulator databases.
- Support the planning and execution activities of the Policy & Regulatory expansion strategy within the MTC business across energy, water, and industrial sectors engaging with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development of the Policy & Regulatory expansion strategy through market research for the energy, water, and industrial sectors.
- Support the Practice Leader, Policy & Regulatory with business development strategy and internal and external outreach activities to drive business line expansion.

Your Capabilities & Credentials:
- Direct experience facilitating and driving utility interconnection application projects from either the utility or interconnection customer perspective.

- History of leading interconnection applications through utility and regulatory processing including application preparation and completeness, identifying schedule and cost risks during application processes, identifying areas where regulatory compliance or interpretation is required, and driving for the best project outcomes for both utilities and project developers.
- Direct familiarity with the Large Generating Interconnection Procedures (LGIP) in the United States and/or Customer Interconnection Requirements across multiple jurisdictions in Canada is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to translate advanced engineering and technical considerations into regulatory grade or business development quality documentation to justify capital expenditure and investment.
- Advanced industry certifications for project management, policy development, or economics are considered an asset.
- Proven track record of delivering projects with high client satisfaction, on time, and within budget for major energy, industrial or institutional organizations.

Key responsibilities may include a combination of the following tasks, but not all are required.
- Perform civil, hydrologic, and hydraulic engineering analyses and modeling for dam, hydroelectric, and other energy-related projects including dam breach and inundation analysis, intake structure design, and spillway design.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using programs such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), LifeSim, and/or FLO2D.
- Prepare engineering designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
- Prepare construction drawings and specifications for design components including spillways, drop chutes, energy dissipation, and other hydraulic structures.
- Assist with feasibility studies by conducting research to assess issues and develop solutions.
- Prepare technical reports including field reports, technical memoranda, computation packages, feasibility reports, design and evaluation reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare basic quantity and cost estimates.
- Provide engineering support for projects during construction.
- Participate in Construction Quality Assurance including the review of shop drawings and submittals, response to request for information, prepare site observation reports, and perform other contract administration tasks.
- Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
- Provide leadership, coordination, and ownership of tasks from initiation to successful completion.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to undertake infrastructure projects related to their planning, design, and engineering.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

The Senior Paleontologist will work as part of a dynamic team that is based in Southern California but includes staff members across the United States. Stantec Paleontology is one of the largest paleontological mitigation programs in the country, holding numerous statewide Bureau of Land Management and project-specific United States Forest Service and National Park Service paleontological permits. Our team includes over 30 paleontologists, including field technicians and directors, fossil preparators, and principal investigators. Stantec supports a wide range of paleontology projects, from multi-state transmission and pipeline projects to road improvements, solar fields, private development, and more. We offer support through all stages of permitting and development, including preconstruction surveys and assessments, construction mitigation programs, and fossil treatment. Within this team, the Senior Paleontologist will direct compliance projects for state, federal, and commercial clients and is responsible for overseeing project development, direction, coordination, and quality control, under the guidance of the Principal Paleontologist. Additionally, the Senior Paleontologist will train staff, oversee field directors, produce quality reports, manage multiple projects and budgets, author proposals and participate in marketing, as required.

* Preparation and review of paleontological technical reports, CEQA/NEPA documents, impact mitigation plans, and annual permit reports.

Our Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned.
Specific assignments and project work vary depending on the market segments. Please see below for information on each market:
Transmission & Distribution
The Transmission & Distribution group is responsible for the planning and design of electrical transmission projects in power delivery, including overhead transmission, underground transmission, distribution systems, substation design, telecommunication & network engineering, pipelines, renewable power integration, security, grid modernization and more.
Qualifications
+ Pursuit of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or related degree from an accredited program
+ Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
+ Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
+ Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
+ Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills.
+ Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
Compensation
$20.45-40.45 Hourly
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The final agreed upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location.

Who You Are
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor of Science in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited university.
+ 0-1 years of experience
+ The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
+ Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying.
+ Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable.
+ Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is desired.

Compensation:
