Production Planner

Prepare, create, schedule and release hardware production orders. Partner with Buyers to track part deliveries vendor to vendor through the supply chain. Maintain production and planned orders in SAP inclusive of all changing requirements. Drive organization to ensure on-time delivery by controlling and reporting production order performance, capacity requirement analysis, and communicating vendor status and delivery time data. This position will require some production floor interaction but will mostly consist of working within the SAP system in support of planning & scheduling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Daily evaluation and release of planned orders in SAP system, checking BOMs for accuracy/availability prior to release, checking and correcting/adjusting capacity constraints and communicating potential bottlenecks with Production Scheduler & other Planners.
Ability to understand and monitor manufacturing value streams for different products.
Real time, daily updates to date fields, capacities and other required inputs into SAP to ensure constant accuracy of WIP orders through MRP.
Create & maintain production routing books on the production floor.
Timely approval of changes in demand and updates to various databases and reports.
Planning/scheduling of outsourced production via BOM's, coordination with Purchasing to ensure PO placements are timely and due dates are acceptable, monitoring progress of parts at a series of outsourced suppliers and the PSM Workshop.
Understand cost structure and ensure hardware is issued to correct accounts.
Ensure accounting is correct before technically closing production orders.
Track status of all applicable BOM parts, issue pick tickets to logistics/supply chain.
Lead and/or assist with cross-functional improvement projects.
Interface effectively with supply chain organization for weekly supplier meetings, ADP approvals and status of Purchase Req fulfillment and Purchase Order delivery.
Work with Quality and Engineering teams to understand & resolve technical roadblocks.
Interface with manufacturing workshop floor leadership daily
Support various production & alignment meetings with timely and accurate updates.
Ensure outgoing customer shipments are supported and executed on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training

Senior Welding Engineer

JOB SUMMARY As part of the Materials & Process Engineering branch of the PSM Product Quality organization, the primary responsibilities will be providing technical assessment of supplier capabilities, verifying welding processes meet requirements for individual components, and conducting periodic audits to verify compliance with technical and quality requirements. In addition, be able to lead or contribute to collaborative team efforts to solve quality or cost issues associated with these products. Secondary responsibility, when assigned by manager, is to develop, document, and/or monitor welding processes for components in the PSM Manufacturing facility. This may include collaboration with the senior joining engineer.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary technical focal point for industrial gas turbine (IGT) component welding during supplier process / product development efforts. Follow the product from development through final production release.
Work with suppliers to verify and validate welding processes produce components that meet drawing and specification requirements. Provide appropriate documentation for process approval upon completion.
Ensure all qualification documentation is correct, complete, timely with hardware delivery requirements, and recorded in proper PSM database.
Conduct process audits at suppliers and ensure they comply with the welding processes as established for specific components.
Support PSM engineering and suppliers to aide in root cause and corrective actions for non-conformances.
Support cost reduction initiatives.
Create and maintain PSM welding specifications.
Assist product engineering, product engineering, and supply chain with identifying and assessing new suppliers.
Communicate both internally and externally to keep management, suppliers, buyers, and product engineers informed of activity
When assigned, be the focal point for component weld processes in the PSM Manufacturing facility and direct process/product development efforts. This can include development, documentation including work instructions, troubleshooting issues, or supporting cost reduction initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training
Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering or related field; or at least 10 years of relevant experience.
Complete Specific on-the-job training towards meeting essential duties and work area performance criteria.
Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training Matrix.
Skills/Experience
5+ years of experience in industrial gas turbine component joining is required. Joining processes include, but are not limited to: GTAW, GMAW, resistance welding, electron beam welding, laser welding, plasma arc welding, resistance welding, and brazing. Welding can be manual, semi-automated, or automated.
Familiarity with turbo machinery, commercial welding specifications (i.e. American Welding Society, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Welding Standards, etc.), and blueprints
Strong communication, decision making, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Project and Power Point
Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process control, Six Sigma (or similar methodology), and have been responsible or part of teams tasked with improving product quality.
Knowledge of other aspects of IGT combustion or hot section component manufacturing, such as machining or forming.
NDT experience (penetrant, radiography, magnetic particle, and / or ultrasonic testing knowledge and certifications).
Ability to travel both domestic and internationally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Set-up and installation of welding equipment
Execution of welding on gas turbine components as per the required technical specification
Quality check of the performed work before operation step confirmation
Preparation/confirmation of the required quality documentation
Reporting of used production time per production step
Setting up welding parameters, selects consumable materials, and prepares work piece for new welding process trials together with engineering staff
Designs and fabricates welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as required
Reporting of technical deviations with the Non Conformance Reporting System (NCR)

Minimum Requirements
Education

Primary responsibilities are to develop, document, and monitor brazing and heat treatment processes for components in the PSM Manufacturing facility. Brazing processes include, but are not limited to: furnace brazing, vacuum brazing. Heat treatment process include, but are not limited to: solution treatment, stabilization, diffusion, precipitation hardening & aging, and stress relief of Gas Turbine & Aerospace nickel alloys, cobalt alloys, austenitic stainless steels, martensitic stainless steels, carbon and low alloy steels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Be the focal point for braze process development in the PSM Manufacturing facility. This includes leading development trials, creating process documentation including work instructions, brazing process specifications, and process qualification records.
Be the focal point for component heat treatment in PSM Manufacturing facility. This includes determining correct heat treatment and sequence of heat treatments performed.
Facilitate new braze technician training and certification.
Troubleshooting production process issues.
Support cost reduction initiatives.
Lead root cause and corrective actions for heat treatment and brazing process related non-conformances.
Review and qualify external supplier brazing processes as required.
Assist with addressing supplier production issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training

Familiarity with brazing for reconditioning and new parts
Expert understanding of heat treatment and braze processing of gas turbine and aerospace components.
Expert understanding of commercial braze and heat treatment specifications (i.e., AMS 2675, AMS 2750, AMS 2759, AMS 2773, AMS2774, etc.), and blueprints.
Able to collaborate with the PSM Workshop team.
Strong communication, decision making, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Project and Power Point
Experience applying lean manufacturing principles, process control, six sigma (or similar methodology) preferred.
