I worked at PPG and it was an awful experience. It was mismanaged, and I worked like a slave. The management was rude, and the environment was toxic. However, the workers were pretty cool. The work environment was very unsafe. The ventilation was broken, and the equipment was always broken. Our safety team would never address the main issues. The maintenance team was not knowledgeable on how to fix things. Overall, it was a very bad place to work.
I like working at PPG. The pay is good, the 401(k) benefits are great, and I really like the friends I've made.
I worked at PPG for a number of years. During that time, I never felt that the CEO or other top leaders cared about my well-being or that of my family. This was especially true when we were forced to work 12-hour days and mandatory overtime. On top of that, we never received any recognition for our hard work.
I worked at PPG for four years, and in that time there was never any improvement. The company was greedy and never cared about my well-being, my family, or my safety.
I didn't need to prepare for the interview because I knew the company and what the job entailed. I was able to answer every question with a professional response. I was straightforward and presented what I could do for the company. I don't regret the interview even though I was treated poorly during my four years there. The job did help me pay my bills and provide for my family.
PPG doesn't compare favorably with other companies in terms of compensation. We are paid less than most companies, and the union has caused us to lose even more money.
I have worked at PPG for a number of years. I have noticed that the company is very diverse, with employees from all walks of life. However, most of the supervisors and workers don't speak to you, and if they do, they make fun of your race, sexual identity, or just the way you look. This is very rude and unprofessional.
I really liked the friends I made at PPG. The job itself was fairly easy for me. However, the place was dangerous and very dirty. Management was rude and unfair most days. The only joy I got from working at PPG was the money I made for my family.
