Overview A PPL Intern/Co-op is a temporarily employed full-time college student in an accredited four-year institution of higher learning, who is offered a program designed to give college students practical work experience in their field of study. Operates shop and portable equipment and machinery required to test, maintain and fabricate devices worked on. 4. Fabricates gaskets, control cables, bus bars; operates hand and small power tools, such: as embossing and stencil machines; assembles and treats hot line tools and switch sticks; uses common types of test equipment, such as: meters, meggers, ductors, TTR testers; and assists in insulation testing of electrical equipment worked on. 5. Employees will qualify through training and experience to do all pipe fitting and utility tasks including: gas meter turn-ons, building/installing single and multiple gas meter sets, meter changes, service shut offs, and responding to gas odor complaints/CO complaints/fire calls, and facility damages.
