Job Profile Summary
Uses extensive safety and health experience to analyze, develop and identify safety and health (S&H) improvement opportunities. Implement S&H programs and processes to meet regulatory compliance requirements and ONEOK's Environmental, Safety, and Health Management System Framework expectations. May act as a lead to less experienced safety and health colleagues.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and improvement of S&H procedures and practices through the recognition and communication of risk
Uses expertise to identify, communicate, and solve S&H risks and regulatory requirements to management and peers as appropriate. Recommend control/compliance measures where appropriate
Provide information and consultation to key stakeholders i.e. employees, customers, contractors, city/county/state officials, and others regarding proper S&H practices. Represent the facility/operating area/company as warranted with certain applicable stakeholders regarding S&H matters
Lead the investigation of significant and complex safety incidents including employee accidents, property damage, compliance deviations and near misses
Administer the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of S&H training to employees and contractors as appropriate
Conduct S&H job site inspections and recommend control measures where appropriate
Conduct comprehensive workplace assessments of potential industrial hygiene risks to include chemical, noise, and/or radiation hazards or utilize third party resources when deemed necessary
Analyze, interpret, identify trends, present, and recommend mitigation measures to improve S&H performance
Provide guidance and direction to other staff members. May lead and direct work of others
Education
Bachelor's Degree in environmental, safety, and health or related field
Work Experience
Extensive experience monitoring, analyzing, and making recommendations relative to compliance with safety and health governmental regulations and industry best practices
Experience composing, compiling, and preparing reports and correspondence
Experience interacting, advising, training and communicating effectively
Experience developing information and making presentations
Extensive experience in the use and function of environmental, safety, and health instrumentation, tools and equipment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas
Knowledge of: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations - General & Construction Industry, Industrial hygiene, and ESH Management System principles

Responsibilities:
* Work in conjunction with the various Area Managers to effectively promote safety ownership to field management.
* Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly safety visits /inspection in accord with East Region Safety Action Plan.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do as a Safety Specialist
As a Safety Specialist at Lewis Services, you'll:
* Serve as a visible leader, influencing and motivating while modeling Lewis's Operating Principles.

Primary Role
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and requirements at the facility. In addition, this technical position will provide trouble shooting and corrective action support to the project operations, maintenance and capital staff.
Key Accountabilities
Implement, document and provide training on the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety Policies as well as any applicable OSHA requirements.
Provide assistance in auditing and ensuring compliance with facility's Load Program, enter work orders into the CMMS utilization of and execution of the CATF program, as well as all site environmental plans.
Observe, document, train and provide feedback to MSG staff and third-party vendors as well as contractors performing work at the facility.
Lead all near miss and actual EH&S incidents and accidents analysis and corrective/preventative measures.
Perform required H&S inspections, JSO's and OBA's.
Routinely perform audits in EH&S areas of maintenance, water and wastewater facilities for regulatory and company policy compliance, prepare audit findings and ensure closure/corrective actions.
Assist in the preparation of all permit applications, preparation of regulatory reports, provide monthly EH&S and Compliance reporting.
Provide support, sample validation reports, Lab QA/QC documentation, and interact/reporting (as necessary) with regulatory agencies (approved by manager).
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Job Description:
U.S. Pipe and Foundry is seeking a Safety Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting plant leadership in driving and creating a safe work environment for the facility. The candidate must be relocatable to Birmingham, Alabama.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develops and implements a system to monitor, evaluate and revise both site safety programs on an annual basis with special attention to the High-Risk Programs (LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space, and Fall Protection) to ensure the safest work environment possible that is also compliant with all laws and regulations.
Facilitates plant housekeeping audits.
Performs Ergonomic assessment of plants and writes plans to reduce issues found in assessments.
Develops appropriate processes, conducts, and facilitates effective incident investigation activities and follow-up on “near-miss” events, property damage, and injuries.
Schedules, tracks, and ensures timely implementation of all Plant-wide regulatory required safety training.
Develops Safety Training Matrix.
Develops and implements effective systems for safety orientation for new and transferred employees as well as contractors.
Leads development and implementation of training.
Coordinates safety/Industrial Hygiene monitoring as required.
Responsible for PPE assessments for all jobs and effective communication of requirements.
Monitor ongoing compliance.
Oversees the Worker's Compensation program at plant level including reporting, reserve management, ongoing monitoring, restricted duty management and collaborate with the Occupational Nurse Manager on the medical management of claimants.
Maintains an effective communication process for all safety related functions including clear processes for emergency response, injury and near miss situations.
Leads and coordinates various safety meetings.
Skills & Other Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Safety or Environmental is preferred, but not required.
The status of a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred, but not required.
5-7 years of safety and environmental experience outlining and implementing programs regarding employee safety procedures, practices, and accident protection and prevention in a heavy manufacturing industry.
At least 2-4 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role as a safety professional.
Proven leadership others and self-direction is required.
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Familiar with the operating characteristics of material handling equipment, crane operation, and capabilities.
Ability to supervise others and facilitate teamwork.
Familiar with OSHA regulations, personal protection equipment.
Familiar with developing and implementing safety programs and policies.
Strong knowledge of hazardous materials.
Familiar with safe practices and MSDS information.
Familiar with a variety of industrial safety concepts, practices, and procedures.
Strong knowledge of inspecting company facilities and recommending corrective actions to ensure compliance with established OSHA and EPA industry regulations.
Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.
Bilingual is a highly preferred skill (English and Spanish)

This School Safety Officer position is for the Fort Bend ISD Elementary Schools.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Law Enforcement:
* Must respond to an active threat on campus within a timely manner under a variety of circumstances.
* Patrol school grounds for student, faculty, and visitor safety.
* Perform daily safety security perimeter checks of campus property and work close with FBISD police officer.
* Assist administration with complaints concerning unauthorized persons on campus.
* Assist with directing vehicles during student drop off and pick up times in the campus parking lots. Investigate and identify suspicious persons and/or vehicles.
* Escort district personnel in potentially hostile situations and assist staff with after hour functions upon their request.
* Assist the Transportation Department with problem bus stop areas and/or chronic disruptions on school buses upon their request.
* Completes and maintains proficiency in all requirements and training for Texas Level III Commission.
Reports/Records:
* Write effective, legal incident reports, collect evidence as necessary for supporting criminal investigations and apprehend offenders.
Other:
* Take such other actions within the guidelines set forth in the "Post Orders" as deemed necessary.
* Maintain firearms proficiency.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* A security officer is to be honest, alert and well disciplined as the custodians of employee and customer property and safety.

WORK IS BASED ON THE SCHOOL CALENDAR
We offer 3 different positions when available:
* Elementary School SSO- Assigned to one specific school.
Monday-Friday 7:45am - 3:45pm
Sports and Events SSO- Conducts Bag Checks and Screenings at Middle & High School sporting events
Typically- Thursday & Fridays 4:00pm- 9:00pm and Saturdays, time varies
* Flex SSO- On call daily, able to work in the Elementary Schools or Sporting Events.
Qualifications/Skills:
Education/Certification:
* At the time of application, MUST possess a current ACTIVE Texas Level III Commissioned Armed Security License
* All applicants are expected to own their own 9mm firearm with a Level 3 holster, before they can start work. There are restrictions on Make and Model, please inquire about type.
* All applicants must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 21 years of age.
* Candidates will go through stringent background checks and training and must pass, as a condition of the hiring process.
* Valid Class "C" Driver License with acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
* Social Security Card
* Driver's License (front and back)
* Proof of Education: High School Diploma or Transcript, GED Certificate or College Transcript (If transcripts, a sealed original will be required at background investigation stage)
* DD-214 Military Discharge form (if applicable) (copy of original Member -4 Form)
* Qualified applicants must pass a drug test.
* All applicants must pass firearms qualifications.
* All candidates must be of good moral character and able to communicate with the public.
* Demonstrates ability to work effectively with youth as well as adults.
Experience:
* Three (3) years of Commissioned Armed Security employment highly preferred.
* Minimum three (3) years of full-time peace officer position highly preferred.
* Prior Law Enforcement highly preferred
* Honorably discharged from US Military highly preferred.
* School Safety officer experience highly preferred.
Mental Demands:
* Maintain emotional control under stress.

Physical Demands:
* Continual standing, walking, pushing and pulling.
