So why did a Prada store end up in the middle of nowhere? Created in 2005 by artists Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset, the Prada Marfa store is a sculpture-cum-landmark, sat just outside of Valentine (population of around 134), Texas.

By 2006, the Helmut Lang, Amy Fairclough, and Jil Sander labels were sold.

In 2007, Prada continued its forward motion with the launch of their Prada phone, which was also the first phone to have an entirely touch screen design.

According to Fortune, Betelli plans on increasing revenue of the company to US$5 billion by 2010.

They floated on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and raised around $2.14bn in 2011.

Beauty dream duo Pat McGrath and Guido Palau created a make-up and hair look for Prada’s autumn/winter 2013 show that was (and still continues to be) a lazy girl’s dream.

In 2015 the Prada Group and Coty Inc. introduced the first Miu Miu fragrance.

2016 featured extensive industrial investments, leading to the inauguration of a new leather goods factory and the renovation of five factories in Tuscany and Umbria.

In 2017, a restyling plan for Prada and Miu Miu stores was coupled with and a broad program of pop-up events was launched to further support retail activities.

In April 2018 Torre, the final part of the structure, opened to the public.
