The Dwight and Dian Diercks School of Advanced Computing at MSOE invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position. The School is specifically seeking an adjunct faculty member with experience in TinyML, the use of machine learning models in embedded systems. Summary
MSOE invites applications for a full-time Network Infrastructure Technician to join our IT Team. Under the direction of the Director of IT Infrastructure, the Network Infrastructure Technician is responsible for the planning, installation, and maintenance of network technologies and their supporting infrastructure as well as the deployment and management of enterprise cellular device plans. This role will coordinate with the Network Administrator to maintain existing network devices and recommend hardware for future network initiatives. The Network Infrastructure Technician will enforce Enterprise Installation Standards with regards to external contractors performing large-scale low-voltage installations. This role will participate in the planning and coordination of new enterprise network and construction initiatives and provide superior customer service to MSOE's constituents including students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Coordinate with Director of IT Infrastructure and Network Administrator to plan network technologies and mitigate user impact
* Coordinate installation of Patch Panels, Network Wall Ports, Telephones, and AV Cabling with in-house resources or external contractors
* Coordinate large-scale construction and contractor cabling installations
* Plan, install, and maintain wireless environment, identify and remediate wireless performance and coverage issues
* Install and maintain network switches, network racks, and power conditioning infrastructure
* Identify appropriate firmware versions for network infrastructure and coordinate outage windows for service- interrupting updates
* Test Layer 1 network infrastructure
* Assist in troubleshooting of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network performance issues
* Document physical network infrastructure including network switch locations, fiber paths, cross connections, and device connections
* Track and maintain inventory of network consumables such as power cables, fiber and copper patch cables, UPS batteries, and network optics
* Familiarity of voltage and current requirements of network equipment with regards to sizing power infrastructure
* Knowledge of NEIS wiring standards for relevant cable types
* Familiarity with fiber termination types
Other Duties and Responsibilities
* Basic knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies
* Knowledge of Cisco command-line interface (IOS-XE, NXOS)

* Manage and maintain Nelson Prototype Lab Canvas Training Course.

Summary
MSOE invites applications for a full-time Laboratory Technician to join our Mechanical Engineering Lab team. Under the direction of the Mechanical Engineering Department Chair, the Laboratory Technician, Electronics, provides support for departmental laboratories and projects. Responsibilities include the set-up of equipment needed for laboratory instruction, maintenance of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, data acquisition systems, measurement systems, PLC systems and sensors while assisting faculty and students in academic projects, and recommending purchases, all in accordance with MSOE's established policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
* Set up of laboratory equipment as required for academic laboratories including hardware-software integration as necessary
* Maintenance and calibration of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, data acquisition systems, measurement systems, PLC systems and sensors
* Technical support for academic projects
* Oversee laboratories as assigned to ensure laboratories are organized and functional
* Work with EHS officer to ensure safety requirements are met
Other Duties and Responsibilities
* Supply students with the materials, tools, equipment, and information needed to complete academic projects.
* Train students in the safe and effective use of laboratory tools and equipment.
* Inspect student projects to ensure all safety procedures and guidelines have been followed.
* Assist other staff as needed to support departmental initiatives and projects.
* Assist faculty as appropriate on departmental initiatives.

Qualifications
* Minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent certification required
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
* Ability to work with students, faculty, and staff
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization. Ability to communicate in both written and verbal form.
* Ability to do basic college level algebra, trigonometry, and geometry.
* Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
Physical Demands
Required to maneuver around equipment, and lift tool, equipment, and materials (less than 50 lbs.). Good manual dexterity.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional instructional laboratory environment. This role uses standard electronics and mechanical instrumentation and tools as well as standard office equipment and software including enterprise resource planning software.

A proven track record in coaching or working for another youth athletic program would be an advantage, as would qualifications in sports management.
