    Residential Team Leader FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Residential Coordinator and Director of Residential Clinical Services POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Behavioral Health Specialists, Behavioral Health Specialists - Night Support POSITION OVERVIEW: The Residential Care Team Leader is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, supportive, and peaceful home setting, ensuring proper documentation of service provided, leading team meetings and record keeping. The Residential Team leader will be trained to use a Housing First model when working with residents to complete goal orientated tasks, building independent living skills and promoting mental health recovery. The Residential Team Leader will apply a harm reduction and trauma informed approach to recovery orientated tasks to support mental health and/or sobriety. The Residential Team Leader is also responsible for supervision of direct care staff, handling employee and consumer complaints / concerns, monitoring consumer general circumstances as it involves housing, assuring general safety and cleanliness. The Residential Care Team Leader will provide AC/PR/TCM Medicaid billable services. Completion of state required, annual internal, and program specific training will be necessary prior to service delivery. The Residential Team leader will be expected to coordinate with direct care staff, Housing Case Managers, internal agency, and other stakeholders to provide collaborative care to residents. ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides services to maintain required productivity / billing standard of 50% of the total hours worked each month. 2. Completes progress notes in a manner that individualizes each note, reflecting appropriate interventions and progress towards goals. Submits required progress notes/billing information in a timely manner as per agency and insurance guidelines and contracts. Performs clinical assessments, formulates diagnoses, and develop treatment plans based on medical necessity and best practice interventions. Evaluates clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information, including monitoring of clients's use of medication. Provides therapy services to clients and families, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming mental illness and making changes. Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with identified problems. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions and clients' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives. Modifies treatment activities and approaches as needed in order to adapt with changes in clients' status. Counsels family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, and supporting clients. Meets with families, probation officers, police, and other interested parties in order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process. Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients treatment. Initiates discharge planning with clients to facilitate termination. Gathers information about client health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy. Refers patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary. Learns about new developments in the field by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminar, and establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies. Special Requirements for School Based Therapist: BSRB Licensed LPC, LMSW, LMFT; Play Therapy training preferred but not required Independence, flexibility, mobility, ability to carry 25-50 pounds of therapy materials in and out of various schools, excellent communication skills, assertiveness, dependability, consistency and good organization skills. Position requires reliable transportation, frequent transition between schools, transportation of therapy materials, laptop, etc. between schools, office and home, physical mobility within schools is necessary to transport students to and from therapy sessions as needed Position Requirements: Must have a Master's degree (or above) and possess licensure in their respective field of study. Must be eligible for approval of 3rd party payer systems and apply for a variety of insurance panels. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions. Valid KS driver's license and access to personal vehicle required.
