Steve Angel became Chief Executive Officer of Linde plc and a member of the company’s Board of Directors in October 2018. Prior to that, Mr. Angel was Chairman, President and CEO of Praxair, Inc. since 2007.

Angel joined Praxair in 2001 as an executive vice president and was named president and chief operating officer in February 2006. Prior to joining Praxair, Angel spent 22 years in a variety of management positions with General Electric.

Angel serves on the board of directors of PPG Industries and the Hydrogen Council and is a member of The Business Council.

A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Angel received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Loyola College in Baltimore.

Matt White was appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer of Praxair, Inc. in 2014. White joined Praxair in 2004 as finance director of Praxair’s largest business unit, North American Industrial Gases. In 2008, he became vice president and controller of Praxair, Inc., then was named vice president and treasurer in 2010. In 2011, Matt was named president of Praxair Canada. Before joining Praxair, White was vice president, finance, at Fisher Scientific and before that he held various financial positions, including group controller, at GenTek, a manufacturing and performance chemicals company. White earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from Penn State University and a master’s degree in business administration-finance from the University of Delaware. He is a certified public accountant and a CFA charterholder.

Carl Schwarz is a Chief Engineer Turbomachinery at PRAXAIR INC.

Claudia Silveira is a CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER at PRAXAIR INC and is based in Rio de Janeiro, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. She has worked as CORPORATE IT EXECUTIVE MANAGER - BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SERVICES at TIM SA, IT BILLING SERVICES & RELATIONSHIP MANAGER at TIM Maxitel, and CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER at Pontofrio. Claudia attended Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro between 2004 and 2005.

Eric Sarner is an Associate General Counsel and Chief Litigation Counsel at PRAXAIR INC and is based in Danbury, Connecticut. He has worked as Associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP; Judicial Law Clerk at Judge William G. Young, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts; and Counsel at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP. Eric attended Queens College between 1980 and 1984 and Harvard Law School between 1984 and 1987.

Horacio Garcia Herreros Gonz is a Chief Industrial Operations at PRAXAIR INC and Gerente de operaciones de envasados at PRAXAIR INC and is based in Bogotá, Bogotá d.c., Colombia.
