We are seeking an accomplished Lead Windows Systems Administrator to oversee the design, operations, and maintenance of a mission-critical Windows infrastructure that supports analysts and scientists. What you will be doing:
Leading and managing the Windows Systems Administration team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and prioritization of tasks.

What you need:
Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of 5+ administrators for 10+ years.
Technical Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of Windows Workstation and Server administration.
Expert experience with Citrix StoreFront, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
Hands-on experience with server roles (file, web, application, and domain controllers).
Skilled in virtualized environments (VMWare, Nutanix, etc.).
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and collaboration with network teams.
Proficiency in deploying, monitoring, patching, and supporting enterprise applications.
Experience with data storage and management solutions.
Security & Compliance: History of working closely with security teams to accredit systems for operational readiness.

What you will be doing The team needs to understand the performance characteristics of its complex infrastructure and to quantify how our users exercise this platform. To do this, we need to pull and groom data from systems and logs that categorize key attributes of the platform from visualization and analysis. These views of holistic system use inform actions the team will undertake to optimize the systems and inform future investments. The successful candidate is responsible for creating visualizations, reports and dashboards for use by management for monitoring and decision making. What you will be doing
The ideal candidate will play a key role in continuously improving and operating some of the most sophisticated computing platforms that the client has to bring deliver solutions against complex problems. These systems enable complex analysis, simulation and modeling leveraging massively computing against disparate holding of very large data sets, to answer difficult questions.
How this role fits
To do this you will work closely with the customers, existing team members and the Program Management Office (PMO) to continuously advance the state of the art in this HPC environment. You have both the technical acumen, expertise in systems operations and task management discipline that allows you credibility succeed with all stakeholder. Your primary responsibility is to oversee the existing and future system leveraging your knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration, virtualization with VMWare and Citrix, Storage appliances, networking and operations experience.
You will play a key role in contributing to the systems strategy with the Program Manager to create a vision for the future of the system, built on the successes of the program and needs to the users. This role also is a senior technical resource contributing to the daily operations of the program.
Your background is that of a talented, multi-discipline engineer versed in getting the best performance out of systems. You are familiar with High Performance Computing and/or both CPU and GPU based systems. You understand system administration, network engineering, storage solutions, and virtualization, with deep experience in at least two of those disciplines. Previous technical leadership experience I one of your calling cards.

* Responsible for the normal day-to-day operations and maintenance of the HPC environment
* Works as a senior resource to the systems administration teams

• Responsible for the normal day-to-day HPC operations and maintenance of the HPC systems
• Provide day to day systems administration duties for Nvidia GPUs, Commodity Cluster Systems and Cray HPC environments
• Perform system monitoring, software installations, debug, upgrades, health checks, and identification/implementation of automated business processes
• Provide assessments, on-going performance analysis and recommendations for future architectures
• Responsible for operating all the host systems for the analysis

* Supporting and integrating COTS and GOTS applications into the Windows environment based on user requirements.
* Collaborating with security teams to ensure accreditation of environments and adherence to security posture.
What you need:
* Experience:
* 8-10 years of hands-on experience as a Windows Systems Administrator/Engineer.
* Proven expertise managing Windows Workstations and Servers in a tiered support environment.
* Strong background with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
* Experience with server roles such as file servers, web servers, application servers, and domain controllers.
* Skilled in deploying, patching, monitoring, and supporting enterprise applications.
* Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMWare, Nutanix, etc.).
* Citrix StoreFront deployment and management experience.
* Additional Skills (Preferred):
* Linux OS knowledge.
* Experience with Tanium (strongly desired).
* Security & Compliance: Direct experience working with security teams to accredit operational environments.
* Mindset: Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* Education & Professional Experience:
* M.S. degree with 6+ years of professional experience, OR
* B.S. degree with 9+ years of professional experience, OR
* Relevant certification with 6+ years of professional experience, OR
* No degree with 12+ years of professional experience.
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role
Salary range:
$151,789.00 - $212,160.00 (Annually)*
