Job Title: Shipping Supervisor Department: Shipping Reports To: Sr. Operations Director The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Shipping department and supervising a team of Shipping Clerks. Perform visual inspection on braze joints prior to putting in the furnace and after heat treating. Perform Rockwell Inspection on parts or test samples as required. Complete any paperwork associated with their work instructions or job function. Stack parts in baskets, verify cleanliness of parts before loading into oven (tape, oil, marker writing). Verify there is no “metal to metal contact”. Observes color of metal and instruments such as voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, and pyrometer, and adjusts controls to maintain specified temperature.
