Basic Job Functions: The safety & Health Technician's responsibilities include but are not limited to, ensuring the safety and security of all teammates, contractors, visitors, etc. and property of Nucor California Steel Industries (NCSI). Primary Duties and Responsibilities Patrols the plant for suspicious or unusual activity; Performs security tours using GuardTek. Maintains site security Performs traffic enforcement and issues citations to violator Escorts unruly visitors or suspended teammates from the plant. Is knowledgeable of all door locations, Mill Planners, Supervisors, and Managers Responds to all medical calls and administers first aid and/or CPR when needed. Responds to all types of incidents and assists completing incident reports. Responds to hazardous materials spills as the HAZMAT FRO first responder. Uses various respirators. Maintains personal grooming as per CAL-OSHA respirator standards. Uses various types of fire suppression, HAZMAT, security, and medical equipment. Maintains appearance and maintenance of all Plant Protection equipment and facilities. Inspects, services, and repairs various fire extinguishers throughout the plant. Where necessary, prepares extinguishers for vendor servicing. Assists with inspection of various fire extinguisher systems. Assists with confined space rescues Leads contractor safety briefings Assist in conducting teammate health monitoring activities, such as hearing and drug testing Maintains routine activity reports, logs, records, etc. Performs other duties as required by department supervision. Teammates will be required to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Coil Winder (Machine Operator) - 3rd Shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segements. The Coil Winder (Machine Operator)- 3rd Shift role offers a 32.5 hour work week with a $3/hour shift premium. Hours are 10:00pm-5:00am and will start Monday night and go till Saturday morning. 30 minute unpaid lunch break. What you'll do: This position will be responsible for winding transformer coils used in electrical equipment and instruments or as electronic components. Coils are built according to wiring diagrams, sample coil, or work order, using coil-winding machines and hand tools. Reviews diagrams and work order or examines sample coil to ascertain type and size of wire specified, and type, size, length, circumference, and primary and secondary windings of coil to be wound. In this function you will: * Wind standard coils for dry type transformers * Perform welding and/or brazing to join bus bars to foil * Utilize hook-up/hot work assembly tools to meet production demands * Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to production quality standards related to coil dimension, bus bar location, etc. * Maintain a minimum of 80% of productivity time standards * Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints * Keep all work areas clean, organized and presentable * Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations Qualifications: Required (Basic): * Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future * No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
