Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus. Specific Duties: * Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy. * Perform system capability checks. * Process parts per applicable specifications. * Know practical theory and be familiar with and able to use manuals and source books for assistance in utilizing techniques. * Keep area clean and adhere to safety procedures. * Meet efficiency standards. * Move inventory when working on X-ray inventory. * Stock cartons of new film and box exposed film for x-ray storage. * Perform additional duties assigned by department supervisor and/or Level III. * Records on a daily basis all work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes. Must follow number routing card in sequence. * Keeps work area clean, orderly, and in safe condition, following all safety rules. * Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors. * Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned. Physical and Mental Demands: * Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed below. * The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines. * Pass the visual acuity exam. * Willing to devote personal time toward the study of material required to pass Level 1 exam.
