The Quality Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of the policies and procedures that ensure quality standards are met during production. Job Description
Load and unload parts in operation of 3-5 axis CNC mill and lathe machine cells to produce complex machined aerospace parts. Level one machinists are responsible for in process inspection of machined product, which requires basic competencies in shop math, hand measuring tools and documentation. Level one machinists are responsible for some deburr operations as well as basic preventative machine maintenance, which includes coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness. Typically 0-3 years of experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
* Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
* Load and unload product to be machined in a number of fixtures and operations.
* Protect machines and machined product by following processes and procedures such as part loading, being in control of the machine, and safely transporting product over short distances.
* Perform and record in process inspection actions such as measuring and validating part features in light of customer supplied dimensional tolerances and specifications.
* Perform basic deburr operations such as edge breaking and light surface blending using a number of deburr tools and media.
* Interact with production tracking tools such as Labor Track and Shop Trak to charge time to job orders and claim parts at the end of the shift.
* Position includes duties that require PPE ( for parts handling, normally only gloves are required to prevent skin to part contact) for any handling of customer hardware.
* Position also includes the performance of various duties related to collection and/or storage of Hazardous Waste
* Use of the type of PPE required for the particular work task(s).
* Proper disposal of used PPE to work center containers.
* Proper transfer of work center containers to the correct Hazardous Waste Storage location.
* Proper work practice and labeling for Waste Collection and Waste Containers.
* Familiarity with facility emergency procedures and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan
Required Skills:
* The ability to read and write English.
* An introductory competence in shop math such as working with fractions and decimals.
* A basic knowledge of inspection tools and their proper use.
* A basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical application regarding nuts and bolts.
* A basic knowledge of part holding methods and procedures.

+ Coordinate with and assist company internal departments to effect a timely and accurate preparation of order related documents; examples of documents involved include Certificates of Conformity (COC), Material Test Report (MTR), Leak Test Reports, Weld Maps and Reports, etc.
+ Assemble and transmit documents to customers in accordance with sales order contract terms; i.e. periodic project update meetings or final document packages at time of shipment
+ Receive and distribute customer document change requirements to affected departments, and follow up to ensure timely revisions and re-transmittals
+ Maintain an up-to-date status of all project-specific documents
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date archives for all project-specific documentation
+ In coordination with Project Engineer, ensure all document requirements are completed in accordance with contract schedules
+ Drive continuous improvement activities related to the document control processes, procedures and software applications
+ Produce status reports, metrics, charts and graphs as requested for management review
+ Support the projects team with project documents and the control and distribution of documents; assist with third party vendors as requested

Job Description

Combustion Engineer

The Combustion Engineer will:
Ensure safe and efficient operating conditions of glass melting furnaces
Ensure optimal energy consumption and proper burner set-up (flame geometry, length, overall profile)
Ensure furnace conditions are within prescribed parameters through daily inspections
Review furnace data on a daily basis and make adjustments as needed
Assist in managing production targets
Support continuous improvement and elimination of waste through ongoing analysis and identification of inefficiencies
Assist with troubleshooting problems within the manufacturing process
The Combustion Engineer should have:
Strong analytical skills and data analysis
Experience scheduling preventative maintenance
Experience with environmental regulations is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required
Technical degree preferred (chemical, mechanical, ceramic, or manufacturing)

Job Description
The
Mold Maker Journeyman
will be responsible for performing new mold work, work on rough or semi-finished castings which are made into completed parts and make corrections or changes on unused mold equipment.
The Mold Maker Journeyman will:
Perform lathe work and makes, without use of profile, the following equipment from semi-finished castings: molds (excluding cavity), mold holders, mold bushings (outside diameter), round bottom plates, blanks (excluding cavity), baffle holders, baffle inserts, guide rings, guide ring inserts, blow head inserts, blow head holders, guide ring holders. The operator is also responsible for grinding own tools.
Perform bench work operations including blending, shaping, and matching cavities, making capacity corrections, necessary cavity relief and pantograph work where standard numerals and monograms are used.
Perform mill work consisting of making molds, blanks, baffles, bottoms, funnels and odd-shaped cavities - or cavities involving flutes, rib decorations, or matches where cavity cast rack displacement must be held to close tolerances. Responsible for grinding tapered, fly cutter arch, and other cutting tools, installing them, and making necessary mill adjustments.
The Mold Maker Journeyman should have:
Machine lathe and mill experience, automatic CNC mill and lathe knowledge is desirable
Experience reading blueprints and drawings
Experience with bench repair and welding
Ability to use all precision measuring device
Prior experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Journeyman Mold Maker Card Required
Must be able to work an 8 hour, rotating shift
CNC certification and/or CNC experience is desirable.

Walden's Machine was founded in 1976 by Charlie Walden. Primus purchased Walden's in 2006 and PCC purchased Primus in 2011. The Company offers a complete range of products and services including high speed machining (3, 4 & 5 axis medium/complex aluminum and hard metal machining), kitting, assembly and integration, decorative coatings, airfoil/propulsion structures specialist and global supply chain management.
Walden's has a reputation for market leading performance and responsiveness in high speed machining. Position Summary:
Level one machinists/operators, under direct supervision, load and unload parts in operation of 3-5 axis CNC mill and lathe machine cells to produce complex machined aerospace parts. Level one machinists are responsible for in process inspection of machined product, which requires basic competencies in shop math, hand measuring tools and documentation. Level one machinists are responsible for some deburr operations as well as basic preventative machine maintenance, which includes coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness. Typically 0-2 years of experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
* Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
* Load and unload product to be machined in a number of fixtures and operations.
* Protect machines and machined product by following processes and procedures such as part loading, being in control of the machine, and safely transporting product over short distances.
* Perform and record inspection processes such as measuring and validating part features considering customer supplied dimensional tolerances and specifications.
* Perform basic deburr operations such as edge breaking and light surface blending using several deburr tools and media.
* Interact with production tracking tools such as Labor Track and Shop Trak to charge time to job orders and claim parts at the end of the shift.
* Other job duties to be assigned based on business needs.
Required Skills:
* The ability to read and write English.
* Introductory competence in shop math such as working with fractions and decimals.
* A basic knowledge of inspection tools and their proper use.
* A basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical application regarding nuts and bolts.
* A basic knowledge of part holding methods and procedures.
* A basic knowledge of deburr tools and methods.
* The ability to interact with computers and CNC controls at a basic level.
Required Experience:
* This position requires basic experience working with mechanical processes and methods such as hand tools, and light equipment such as saws, drills and pneumatic tools.
