Description Position Location: Chula Vista, CA Summary: Using welding/cutting equipment and various power and hand tools, the welder performs a variety of shop and shipboard welding trade functions. Performs complex setups and holds close tolerances in the fabrication and weld manufacturing cycle of a variety of parts, made from various materials and configurations. Operations may be new manufacture or repair type in nature, which requires the restoration of overhauled parts. Is responsible for meeting all visual and workmanship requirements required of the applicable weld and fabrication specifications. Must make complex setups and hold close tolerances in the fabrication and weld manufacturing cycle of a variety of parts made from various materials and configurations-bar stock, ferrous and nonferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, monel, inconel, and Hy80.
