Daniel E. Brown serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Board Member. Prior to that position, he served as Executive Vice President, International and Deepwater Operations beginning in May 2017; Senior Vice President, International and Deepwater Operations beginning in August 2016; Vice President, Operations (Southern and Appalachia) beginning in August 2013; and Vice President, Corporate Planning beginning in May 2013. Mr. Brown joined Anadarko in August 2006 upon the acquisition of Kerr-McGee Corporation, where he began his career. In addition to those positions mentioned above, Mr. Brown held positions of increasing responsibility with Anadarko and Kerr-McGee throughout his career in U.S. onshore and Gulf of Mexico segments, as well as internationally. Mr. Brown was also a director of Western Gas Equity Partners, LP (NYSE: WGP) and Western Gas Partners, LP (NYSE: WES) from November 2017 to February 2019. After the February 2019 simplification of those two MLPs, he served on the board of Western Midstream Partners, LP (NYSE: WES) until August 2019, when the Anadarko-Occidental transaction was completed. Since January 2020, Mr. Brown has served on the board of the Blackstone-backed private exploration and production company, Beacon Offshore Energy LLC, which is focused on the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Brown is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas. Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Rice University, where he was a Jones Scholar Award recipient.

In 1991, he joined Nabors Industries as Chief Operating Officer. In 1992, he also became the President of the company. In 2003, he became the Deputy Chairman of Nabors Industries and held this position until June 2012. In 2011, Anthony became the Chief Executive Officer of the company. Since 2012, he is the Chairman of the Board of Nabors Industries. Since February 2011, he is also the Director of Stewart & Stevenson, LLC. Anthony also served as Director of MediaOnDemand.com, and he is also the current Director of Texas Children's Hospital. Anthony Petrello's total calculated compensation for FY 2015 is $27,512,939. Out of which, he received $1,580,077 as salary, $7,727,000 as bonus, $16,863,656 as stock and $1,342,206 as different kinds of compensation. He serves as a director of Stewart & Stevenson LLC and of Hilcorp Energy Company. Petrello is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Texas Children's Hospital and an advocate for research and clinical programs to address the needs of children with neurological disorders.
