Foreman Overview:
The Foreman holds the critical responsibility of supervising work crews to ensure the timely and safe completion of assigned projects. This role is designated as 'safety-sensitive' because any failure to properly execute the essential or marginal duties could pose a threat to the health and safety of the employee, their colleagues, and the public.

Foreman Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises and coordinates the activities of work crews engaged in erecting structural steel, sheeting, civil work, mechanical, and pipe work.
Assist workers in performance of tasks, such as welding, bolting, erecting, assembling, and finishing.
Prepares performance reviews, warning/counseling reports and termination reports.
Responsible for the timely preparation of time sheets and work reports for Office Managers and Field Superintendents.
Serve as a liaison with clients and vendors to provide project solutions.
Responsible for adhering to all company safety program, QA/QC program, and OSHA regulations.
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Foreman Qualifications:
Minimum of three years' experience as a craftsman required.
Must have previous supervisory experience.
Must have good oral communication skills.
Must have all the required hand tools.
Foreman Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently on the job and able to climb more than 300 feet.
Must be able to pull own weight when climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding up to 150 feet.
Excessive amounts of bending, stooping, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, a loud and dusty work environment, and able to be around high voltage electromagnetic fields. All the physical demands listed are essential functions.

Responsibilities:
Under minimum supervision Inspect, dismantle, repair, assemble, service and erect various types of mechanical production equipment. Inspect equipment periodically to discover and prevent mechanical defects.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings of equipment on the plant and perform work according to such drawings and specifications.
Perform other related duties as directed, including indoor and fieldwork.
Read prints and schematics of CNC equipment.
Communicate with factory service personnel.

Duties:

Capable of fabrication of special fixturing of equipment and lay out of equipment (CNC), also ability to read fabrication drawings.

Pay Information: $34.39 per hour, this is a union rate and nonnegotiable. Per the union contract this rate will increase by $1.00 per hour each year until the end of the contract in 2029. Working the off shift will also add $0.63 to the hourly rate.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Install, repairs, lubricates and maintains mechanical apparatus and equipment throughout the plant. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Wrenches, hammers, pliers, burning equipment, small hand tools, cranes, mobile equipment, oil can, grease gun, power trucks, man lift, gauges, pipe cutting, threading and bending machine, stock and dies, levels, bars, power tools, measuring tools, etc.
MATERIALS HANDLED: Machine parts and assemblies, pipe, tubing, hose, grease, oil, cable, rope, chain, jack, tools and equipment to be repaired, fittings, cutting supplies, compressors, filters, lubricants, steam traps, valves, gas, acid, compressed gas cylinders, etc.
WORKING PROCEDURE:
* Completes required records, time cards, reports, PM's requisitions and surveys.
* Perform minor duties that are incidental to their primary job even though those duties are also performed by other classifications.
* Operates power truck, man lift, mobile equipment and cranes in performance of job.
* Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, charts and sketches.
* Performs burning, welding, brazing, heating and soldering as required.
* Plans work details, determines material and tool requirements.
* Repairs tools common to this classification.
* Uses stores catalog and/or computer to requisition materials and transport to work area.
* Makes inspections, repairs and installations.
* By following established routines, installs, tests, repairs, inspects, adjust and maintains in good working order: hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, gas, acid, water, coolant systems, and space heating systems within the plant.
* Repairs, replaces, assembles, disassembles, cleans, and tests valves, piping condensers, heat exchangers, pumps, gas burners and other mechanical mill equipment, etc.

Job Summary
MOR PPM Inc. is looking for millwrights in Skippers, VA. The Millwrights will install and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments. Site Specific training/orientation is required before arrival to job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --
Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment.
Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations
Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones
Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers; aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method; assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures; may operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications; may repair and lubricate machines and equipment; may be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates.
Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor
Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Qualifications:
Preferred: 4 years work experience as an industrial millwright or has successfully completed a curriculum closely related to Millwright work from a vocational institution with 2 years' experience.
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
Must have full range of motion consistent with age
Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
