The BIM/VDC Manager will oversee the implementation and management of BIM processes and technologies across all phases of construction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Applies acoustical tiles or shock-absorbing materials to ceilings and walls of buildings to reduce or reflect sound and to decorate rooms. * Washes concrete surfaces with washing soda and zinc sulfate solution before mounting tile to increase adhesive qualities of surfaces. * Inspects furring, mechanical mountings, and masonry surface for plumbness and level, using laser or water level. * Hangs dry lines (stretched string) to wall molding to guide positioning of main runners. * Nails or screws molding to wall to support and seal joint between ceiling tile and wall. * Scribes and cuts edges of tile to fit wall where wall molding is not specified. * Nails channels or wood furring strips to surfaces to provide mounting for tile. * Measures and marks surface to lay out work according to blueprints and drawings. * Cuts tiles for fixture and borders, using keyhole saw, and inserts tiles into supporting framework. * Applies cement to back of tile and presses tile into place, aligning with layout marks and joints of previously laid tile. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years' experience in managing the entire scope of a construction project, from handoff through the closeout phase. Job Description Precision Walls has an exciting opportunity for a General Superintendent to join our team! Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ability to run large commercial construction jobs - metal stud framing and hanging. Accountable for assuring that assigned jobs adhere to the standards for safety (our number one priority), customer and team relationships, quality, schedule, and production. Responsible for personnel development by managing field foremen. Involved in the recruitment, selection, placement and evaluation process of all assigned individuals; both employees and subcontractors. The primary focus of the Superintendent will be to assure that a job is completed on-time, and on-budget. Develop good customer relationships to assure that they are the partner that helps drive the job with the General Contractor/customer or client. Assure that all jobs employees meet PWI's standards for safety. Partner with the Safety Team to assure that all employees are working safely and adhering to Precision Walls and the customers safety rules. Insure that all employees and team adhere to State, Federal, Local and PWI rules and regulations. Assuring that the assigned team members time sheets are accurate, determining appropriate pay levels, assessing skills and rewarding/disciplining in relation to their performance. Responsible for teaching foremen recruiting, interviewing, assessing and hiring staff to work on the jobs under the supervision of foremen. Utilizing or developing regular training programs to enhance and increase their teams skill-sets and performance. Requirements / Experience: Candidates should have at least five (5) years of commercial drywall experience. Proven ability to lead people and develop strong customer relationships. Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task and focus. Understands and can instruct drywall and ceiling industry's labor, materials and methods. Computer & technology savvy. Make a difference and promote the progress of construction! We are seeking experienced Foreman! We seek supervisors of workforce that can preplan, organize, track and audit day to day field operations of workers and hours in commercial drywall systems on-site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Enthusiastic about technology, eager to learn, and up for the challenge. Dedicated to safety, quality and customer service. Must have five (5) years of commercial drywall experience. Constantly promoting a positive attitude and proactive problem solving skills. Ability to communicate clearly with General Contractors and customers. Ability to be on one or multiple projects and holds themselves to a high standard of excellence. Accurately prepare all job progress reports indicating completion, material usage, labor utilization and any issues that may have occurred. Reports directly to Precision Wall's General Superintendent or Superintendents. Ability to communicate an organized plan of execution for work force to follow. Manage workforce by evaluating, placement, monitoring and controlling performance strategically. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following procedures and company standards. Immediately report any issues relative to not having the materials, tools or staff that prevent you from meeting production standards. Also report any issues with other trades that is compromising your work or hindering your progress. Assure that all time sheets for workers are accurate and turned in timely, that starting times, quit times, and lunches are timely. Responsible to assure that all subcontractor workers are accounted for and signed in and working on assignments. Coordinate direction and issues with subcontractor employees to their designated supervisor to avoid a co-employer issue. Works safely and takes action to correct to prevent hazards. Other duties as assigned. Requirements / Experience: Understand drywall and ceiling industry's materials and methods, and willing to learn. Excellent organizational skills - sequences & order. Quality control and material management skills. Exhibits high attention to detail. Documentation skills: Daily reports, time cards, work orders, RFI's. Punctuality and attendance. Reliable transportation. Computer and technology savvy (Tablets, mobile phones, etc.). Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish).
