PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates equipment and performs various mammography related procedures. Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters.
Explains procedures and educates patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
Develops and evaluates the image for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensures prompt submission of all high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correctly marked and patient data/history).

High-Risk Cardiology
High acuity telemetry units
Patients are admitted from ED, CCU, admitting, procedure areas and other hospital units, and from outside hospitals. Most of our patient population is those diagnosed with myocardial infarction requiring cardiac catheterization, congestive heart failure, heart arrhythmias, and pulmonary hypertension.
Cardiac PCU
Most patients are diagnosed with congestive heart failure, heart arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, and other life-threatening conditions. With this known diagnosis many may require cardiac catheterization and stent placement. As a leader in advanced therapies for heart failure, we offer care to pre- and post- heart transplant and Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) patients. This unit specifically cares for readmitted LVADs and manage complex issues like pump clots, stroke, and manage medications.
Vascular Surgery PCU
Our nursing staff provides pre/post-operative care to the wide variety of interventions needed for peripheral vascular disease patients. Surgical services include endoluminal and open repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, thoracic outlet decompression, carotid artery angioplasty/stenting, carotid endarterectomies, dialysis access (fistulas/grafts), catheter-directed thrombolysis, and various bypasses and stents for aorto-iliac and upper/lower extremity occlusive disease.
Cardiothoracic PCU
Post Thoracic Surgery patients ranging from lung transplants, lung surgeries, and esophagectomy. In addition, we care for the Cardiothoracic population after they stabilize from the ICU. We will take care of Pre/Post CABG, Valve Repairs, Heart transplants, and other surgical procedures.
Cardiac Surgery PCU
We provide post-operative care to cardiac surgery patients. Our most frequent procedures are CABG (coronary artery bypass graft), Cardiac Valve Repair/Replacement, LVAD (left ventricular device implantation), Aortic repairs, and MAZE.
Cardiac ICU
Patients with MIs, cardiomyopathies and a variety of irregular rhythms, including life-threatening v-fib and v-tach, device designated floor LVAD, IMPELLA, intra-aortic ballon pump, Non post operative side, pre surgical heart intervention patients.
Cardiothoracic ICU
Patients are CTICU, had surgery from their esophagus to diaphragm, open heart surgery, cabbages, valve replacements, active heart failure program (heart is failing and only thing to do for is to add devices) ventricular assist device. Surgical Post Operative area, patients under cardiac umbrella, heart transplants. Under thoracic procedures, lung transplants and lung surgeries. Vascular patient population, specific to vascular procedures with the aorta. CT patient population and Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular.

Division 2100 is a fast paced high risk cardiology division at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. We care for a variety of cardiology patients including congestive heart failure, left ventricular assist devices, post cardiac device implantation, post EP and Stent procedures. The Staff Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the patient care team using critical thinking skills and clinical expertise to continually assess the patients' status. The Staff Nurse (RN) must be certified in BLS and obtain ACLS certification within 1 year of working on the division.

· Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor with guidance from the Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with another Registered Nurse.
· Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of dialysis data for assigned patients and documents in the patient medical record, makes adjustments or modifications to treatment plan as indicated and notifies Supervisor or physician as needed.
· Assesses, collaborates and documents patient/family's basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family.
· Directs and provides, in collaboration with the patient, home care partner, direct and ancillary patient care staff, all aspects of the provision of safe and effective delivery of dialysis therapy to assigned patients.
· Administers medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), and documents appropriate medical justification and effectiveness.
· Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
· Serves as a resource for health care team, participates in staff training and orientation of new staff as assigned.
· Ensures correct laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures are performed and reschedules missed or insufficient laboratory collections.
· Identifies expected outcomes, documents and updates the nursing assessment and plan of care for assigned patients through collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.
· Ensures patient awareness related to transplant and treatment modality options.

Job Summary:
Provides evaluation of and care for respiratory therapy patients. Administers prescribed respiratory therapeutic services.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assesses patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
Responsible for providing respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures and guidelines.
Implements and monitors patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities.
Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
Educates the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
Assists with care, calibration and maintenance of all equipment. Participates in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment. Processes equipment per established cleaning/sterilization procedures.
Responds to Medical Emergencies and Rapid Responses.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education.
EXPERIENCE

Key Responsibilities:
* Practice Housing First, harm reduction, and low-barrier service models when working with individuals or households.
* Attend and participate in Coordinated Entry/Case Conferencing meetings within the local Continuum of Care.

* Serve as a resource to case managers, clients, and agency administration regarding housing and local/state resources.
* Assist eligible households in obtaining identification documents required for housing or employment.
* Help with the moving on process/transferring to other services and meet with tenants to evaluate their readiness to move on to other permanent housing options.
* Reengage active or former participants who have become disconnected with services or who are at risk of returning to homelessness.
* Help households to identify and connect with natural resources to prevent or end homelessness.
* Understand HUD Quality Standards inspections.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other relevant case manager experience in housing; OR,
* Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support from an approved institution eligible to provide community support services; OR,
* Qualified to provide Community Support through specified educational background and experience as defined in community-support qualifications.
