Overview:
Join Miami Valley Hospital North as an Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapist) where you'll play a pivotal role on our interdisciplinary patient care teams.
This position involves evaluating patient needs, creating and implementing care plans in collaboration with patients, and employing a variety of treatment techniques.
You will also provide patient and family education, facilitate care planning, and contribute to the department's overall effectiveness through excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, treat, document, and discharge patients following service guidelines.
Engage in patient care management with other team members.
Accurately bill for services and supplies by matching documentation with service charges.
Oversee Occupational Therapy Assistants and provide guidance.
Educate patients and families about treatment and care.
Participate in performance improvement activities and manage caseload according to department standards.
Strive to ensure a positive experience for all patients and engage in efforts to improve satisfaction.
Complete all required hospital/department competencies and testing as part of daily performance.
Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Licensure/Certification:
Current Occupational Therapy license in Ohio.
Current Hand Therapist certification preferred
BLS certification within 30 days of hire
Experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience Preferred

Ability to multitask and maintain a positive demeanor amid interruptions.

Physical Therapist (PRN)

Miami Valley Hospital North Physical Therapist (PRN) * PRN: 2-3 days per week preferred | No weekends Come work in a supportive environment, with 1-hour initial assessments and 45-minute 1-on-1 follow-ups The Physical Therapist assumes a dynamic leadership role on the interdisciplinary patient care teams. This individual identifies patient care needs, develops a plan of care and goals in collaboration with the patient, provides a wide variety of treatment techniques within the scope of practice, provides education and support to patients/families, and facilitates continuing care planning.
The therapist participates in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. The therapist is responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.
Education
* Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Licensure/Certification/Registration
* Current physical therapy license in State of Ohio.
* BLS certification required with in 30 days of hire.
Experience
* Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience
* Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job related experience.
Knowledge/Skills
* Able to multi-task with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
* Dependable, flexible and adaptable to change. Teamwork oriented.
* Display tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.

* Evaluates, treats, documents, delegates, and discharges patients per service guidelines.
* Engages in interdisciplinary patient care management.
* Bills appropriately for services and supplies provided as indicated through matching of documentation and service charges.
* Provides oversight of Physical Therapist Assistants.
* Provides patient/family education.
* Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities.
* Manages case load per department standards.
* Engages in patient satisfaction efforts and looks for opportunities to ensure that all patients have a satisfying experience.
* Passes all required hospital/department competencies and related testing; applies to everyday performance.
