The PCC is the initial point of contact for all patients and visitors to the department. The Infusion Center PCC must demonstrate customer focus with patience, composure, and compassion. Must be able to deal with ambiguity by effectively coping with change; possess strong time management skills, interpersonal savvy, while supporting peer relationships. Demonstrates expert functional/technical skills while providing financial assessment and evaluation of each patient entering the hospital. The Patient Care Coordinator is required to maintain excellent customer service standards at all times in order to effectively communicate with physicians, physician offices, patients, and co-workers. Patient Care Coordinators are required to efficiently perform all duties while ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy rights. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED Licensure/Certification/Registration Current HealthCare Provider or Professional Rescuer BLS CPR certification required prior to completion of orientation. Our 90-day orientation period offers job shadowing and observation opportunities, multiple trainings offering CEU's, and gradual building of therapist caseload. Physical abilities required include sufficient mobility, sufficient strength to lift/carry a young child, language skills, ability to utilize emergency physical interventions, and to perform written paperwork (manual or automated). Training and experience in the types of services provided by the team, with age-appropriate competency, using the Diagnostic and Statistical manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5 or subsequent revisions).
