Must be able to handle 100-200 incoming calls per day. * Re-scheduling patient appointments as required via telephone calls and written notification to patients. * Screening and routing patient calls to other departments efficiently, ensuring accurate registration, appointment scheduling and follow-up appointment scheduling in database. * Taking clear and accurate messages on behalf of other departments. * Responding to patient's questions and needs by editing, canceling and re-scheduling appointment as necessary according to clinic protocols. * Reviewing physician schedules regularly to maximize capacity and verify correct scheduling. * Creating testing orders for patients and faxing or mailing as per patient request. * Faxing medical records to facilities authorized to receive patient information. * Maintains a good working relationship and effective communication both within the department and with other departments for the benefit of the patient. * Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Minimum of a High School Diploma and 1 - 2 years of experience in customer service, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Previous experience in a call center and/or medical practice desired QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS * Exceptional phone manner * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to apply knowledge of office procedures and carry out tasks accordingly * Ability to utilize the EMR system effectively. * Ability to type 35 wpm with 90% accuracy. * Must be flexible, organized, and function well under pressure. * Bi-lingual English/Spanish is preferred. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Minimum of a High School diploma; Associates Degree preferred. * One to three years of relevant experience and/or training. * Electronic Medical Record experience preferred. THE OPPORTUNITY The Manager, Compliance Audit is responsible for enterprise-wide oversight of billing and coding compliance for clinical services, as well as ensuring timely audits of our transportation, EMR access, and termination procedures. This role ensures adherence to federal and state regulations through auditing, real-time monitoring, education, documentation, corrective action planning, and reporting aligned with the organization's Compliance Program. This is a role for someone with a strong auditing background as auditing makes up about 80% of this role. WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead prospective and retrospective billing and documentation compliance audits across clinical operations Design audit methodologies, tools, sampling techniques, and risk-based monitoring programs Analyze physician coding patterns, documentation practices, denials, and reimbursement trends Identify compliance risks related to CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifier usage Prepare formal audit reports, compliance investigation summaries, and executive-level metrics Develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans; evaluate effectiveness and sustainability Perform ongoing compliance monitoring related to OMIG, CMS, OIG, payer requirements, and sanction/exclusion screening Support annual compliance risk assessments and compliance work plans related to coding, billing, and documentation Develop and maintain compliance policies, workflows, and education materials Deliver provider and staff education on regulatory guidance, documentation standards, and audit findings Serve as a subject matter expert and front-line compliance resource for clinics and revenue cycle teams Maintain current knowledge of regulatory updates, advisory opinions, and enforcement trends WHAT YOU'LL NEED Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of related experience 5+ years medical coding experience & 3+ years auditing experience 2+ years in a compliance department 2+ years managing staff Strong Microsoft Office and project management skills Knowledge of Fraud, Waste & Abuse laws Skilled in auditing, education feedback, and regulatory documentation Analytical, detail-oriented, trustworthy team player CPC certification required Healthcare compliance/privacy certifications preferred WHO WE ARE Our team includes leading experts in ocular medicine with decades of combined experience.     JOB TITLE: Surgical Scheduler/Prior Authorization Specialist DEPARTMENT: Urology STATUS: Full Time Non-Exempt (Hourly) REPORTS TO: Practice Director SHIFT/CORE HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM The Surgical Scheduler/Prior Authorization Specialist will support the Providers while monitoring patient flow, scheduling patient appointments, attaining prior authorizations and processing necessary insurance information. The Patient Service Coordinator uses his/her working knowledge of urology and the health care industry to address patient inquiries, solve problems and ensure a positive patient experience ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Schedules office and hospital based medical and surgical procedures, as well as in-office diagnostic and imaging tests. * Completes pre-procedural phone calls three days prior to confirm appointment times with patients. Provides accurate, detailed information to patients regarding test preparations, and confirms patients' scheduled time of arrival for test or procedure. * Takes appropriate action in responding to questions from patients. * Checks insurance eligibility * Contacts insurance companies to obtain benefits and prior authorizations, if needed, as required by patients' insurance plan, within 72 hours of scheduled procedure. * Scans surgical packets and all other relevant documents (medical/cardiac clearances, bloodwork, EKG, etc.) into the patient's EMR. * Contacts appropriate vendors to ensure all equipment will be on site for office and hospital based procedures, including confirmation of attendance by contracted anesthesia groups if required for procedure or test. * Collaborates with appropriate hospital/ASC staff to ensure a cohesive working relationship for continuity in providing patient care services. * Schedules post-op follow-up as needed and provides any other directional information. * Reviews provider's schedule for accuracy, and reschedules appointments as needed. * Completes requests for medical records or information following HIPAA guidelines. * Other job duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of a High School diploma; Associates Degree preferred. * 1 - 2 years' related experience in a medical practice; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Must possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, management, and providers. * Proven history of providing exceptional patient service * Demonstrated experience responding to questions and addressing concerns in a tactful & professional manner * Ability to multi-task in a busy medical practice. * Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. * Able to manage demanding workload with accuracy. * Working knowledge of EMR and Microsoft Office products preferred * Willingness to travel to designated Premier Medical Group locations.
