While we support surgical intervention when appropriate, most of our patients choose non-surgical, medically guided care. Our comprehensive, ongoing treatment plan focuses on lifestyle modifications-including changes in diet, physical activity, and behavior. The program follows a two-step approach: thorough assessment followed by personalized management. Treatment may include weight-loss medications, dietary counseling, and tailored interventions, all aimed at achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight. We also provide continuous evaluation to identify and address any barriers to progress. POSITION SUMMARY: The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive care to patient's recovery under the supervision of a board-certified Physician in Obesity Medicine. Premier Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant, experienced in assessing and treating individuals who are affected by obesity. Duties will include performing exams, obtaining patient medical histories, ordering tests, and counseling patients. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides high-quality medical services under supervision of a physician. * Works in collaboration with the lead physician and other health care providers to provide health care across the continuum of care to assigned patients. * Obtains patient medical, physical and psycho-social history and performs comprehensive health assessment including physical exam. * Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies within protocol guidelines. * Formulates therapeutic plans and treatments; prescribes and administers appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies and treatments. * Monitors patients' progress and maintains records of treatments, surgeries, or other medical events. * Determines the effectiveness of the plan of care through documentation of client care outcomes. * Reassesses and modifies the treatment plan as necessary to achieve medical and health goals. * Completes all documentation in EMR in a timely fashion. Codes patient visits accurately and appropriately. * Informs physicians about any problems or discrepancies that might arise. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge via Continuing Medical Education credits. * Protects patient confidentiality, maintains ethics, and abides by all applicable laws. * Maintains physician, staff, and patient confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA regulations. * Other duties may be assigned as necessary to ensure optimal patient care and office workflow. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. * Current Physician Assistant licensure in the State of New York. * 2-5 years' experience as a Physician Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in metabolic medicine, bariatric medicine, endocrinology, primary care and/or related fields. * Knowledge of New York State Regulations. * Familiarity with advancements in medical technology. * Strong time-management skills with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. * Analytical thinking skills with the ability to investigate and diagnose. * Demonstrates professionalism with strong communication and exceptional customer service skills. * Exhibits a caring, compassionate attitude and a genuine passion for delivering healthcare excellence. * Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment. * Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office suite, email, and internet navigation. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Familiarity with electronic health record system. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy. Provide good communication with the physician and other members of the team Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion while developing trust and rapport. Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or anxiety. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment. Administer psychiatric rating scales. Record session notes, track insurance authorizations, and schedule patient visits using EMR and medical scheduling software. QUALIFICATIONS TMS experience required Great people skills BLS certification At least one year of experience working in a medical office is preferred, but not required. Experience working with patients who are suffering from anxiety and depression preferred. Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor, and interface well with patients in a mental health setting required. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team. An Associates or Bachelors Degree strongly preferred, but candidates with patient care experience will be strongly considered.

Premier is an independent practice, looking to enhance patient access with motivated and experienced clinicians. The ideal candidate will have a foundation of clinical experience, enthusiasm, and a patient-centered approach. This position includes the direct care of patients in coordination with our physicians and clinical support staff, comprehensive health assessment, management of complex disease states, ordering and review of laboratory and diagnostic tests, executing treatment plans, prescribing, authorizing, and monitoring medication regimens, and participating in hospital rounds. The NP or Physician Assistant will also consult with other departments, as appropriate, to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Works in collaboration with physicians and other health care providers to provide health care across the continuum of care to assigned patients. Performs hospital rounds of new consults and follow-up patients and assists in discharge of patients. Obtains patient medical, physical, and psycho-social history and performs comprehensive health assessment including physical exam, based on age and history. Conducts non-invasive preventive screening procedures based on age and history. Identifies medical and health risks and needs. Updates and records changes in health status in EMR. Formulates the appropriate differential diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings. Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies within protocol guidelines. Develops and provides a relevant patient education plan. Prescribes and administers appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies. Makes appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community agencies. Determines the effectiveness of the plan of care through documentation of client care outcomes. Reassesses and modifies the treatment plan as necessary to achieve medical and health goals. Completes all documentation in EMR in a timely fashion. Codes patient visits accurately and appropriately. Participates in quality assurance review on a periodic basis, including systematic review of records and treatment plans. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Consults other departments, as needed and as appropriate, to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program, NYS licensed. 2 - 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Demonstrates an ability to utilize advanced health assessment and decision-making skills.
