Cleaning: Complete all cleaning logs pertaining to role, to acceptable standards once a shift. Soap Usage: Using correct soaps, and cleaning chemicals 100 percent of the time. Storage: Put away 100 percent dishes cleaned on shift Disposal: Check all garbage once and hour and empty if 75 percent full. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Capable of significant walking over uneven terrain Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods (up to 8 hours) Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally team lift/move 50 pounds Manage physical activities such as standing, bending, stooping, stretching, daily exposure to the sun and heat, and varying environmental conditions Ability to safely work with sensitive materials and/or chemicals May be asked to work at other locations on occasion.     General Purpose The dishwasher assignments are determined by the needs basis on the activity of the shift. He/she is reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor. * Must strip down returned trays and start washing dishes. * Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift. * Observe water temperatures of dishwasher during dishwashing cycles. * Operate dishwasher. Sweep and mop kitchen. * Carry out trash and garbage. * Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner. * To leave the kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner and be of assistance when called upon by the cook or dietary supervisor. * Clean work surfaces and refrigerators. * Sweep, mop, and maintain floors. * Participate in the orientation and on-going training of dietary staff. * Ability to work in cooperation and harmony with personnel in all departments.
