Wash all dishes, glasses, utensils, cookware and related food preparation/serving items and equipment by following approved sanitation and safety guidelines, including operate commercial dishwasher; inspect, dry and store all cleaned items and equipment properly to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service. Peel, core, chop, clean and otherwise ready foodstuffs and ingredients for cooking, as instructed by the sous chef, in order to enhance timely meal preparation and advance excellent guest service. Maintain and operate commercial dishwasher(s) and other cleaning equipment at optimal temperature, checking the temperature according to schedule and adjusting as needed in order to meet standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Wipe spills and debris from floors and other work surfaces in a timely manner adhering to guidelines for safety and sanitation to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment. Empty waste receptacles and dispose of garbage in proper refuse containers on a timely basis during the shift to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment.
