Job DescriptionSalary: Starting at $16 per hour A dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, tableware, cooking utensils, and food preparation equipment in a food service establishment such as a restaurant, hotel, or caf. The role ensures that cooks and servers always have a steady supply of clean dishes to prepare and serve food safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Clean and sanitizedishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using either an industrial dishwashing machine or by hand, following health and safety standards. Clear excess foodfrom dishes and load them properly into dishwashers; hand-wash delicate items as needed. Dry and organizeclean dishes and return them to their proper storage locations. Maintain cleanlinessof kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils, ensuring all areas meet required sanitation guidelines. Dispose of trashproperly and empty/clean garbage cans regularly. Assist with restocking suppliessuch as utensils in serving stations or fridges. Sweep and mop floorsin the dish area and kitchen, addressing any spills or broken dishes promptly.
