Sanitizing kitchen surfaces: They sanitize counters, stovetops and other places where food is prepared so it meets health regulations. Inventory support: Kitchen Helpers help kitchen managers manage inventory by organizing food storage and telling them when items need to be ordered. Receiving deliveries: Kitchen Helpers and unpack all deliveries, making sure all food and supplies are put in their correct places. Must be able to stoop, squat, bend, and repetitively lift 50 lbs throughout your shift. General cleaning: They sweep and mop the floors, wipe out trash cans, change garbage liners and clean and organize food storage. Equipment maintenance: Kitchen Helpers make sure that ovens, refrigerators, and other cooking equipment are in working order. Basic food preparation: They help chefs and cooks prepare meals by washing, peeling and cutting ingredients as well as work on the salad, appetizer and waffle line. Our kitchen helper position is part-time. Prior experience is a bonus but not required for the right eager candidate. On the job training is provided and ServSafe training is paid for.
