We seek a detail-oriented and technically skilled Prepress Technician to join our print and mailing company team. The Prepress Technician will be responsible for preparing plates and proofing all jobs for accuracy, content, color, size and production requirements & ensuring that it meets industry standards and the specific requirements of our printing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of print production processes and experience with design software, as well as excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with the print and mailing industry is required. Key Responsibilities: Process all-digital offset plate which will be used for offset print jobs/projects. Successful candidate must be able to electronically assemble graphics and text to create electronic files containing all components for offset and digital printing. Requires in-depth knowledge of desktop publishing applications on both Macintosh and Windows OS platforms including Adobe Creative Suite. Other responsibilities include but not limited to outputting and assembling press proofs as well as generating conventional press plates.
