Practice Highlights:
16-18 patients per day
34 direct patient contact hours per week plus 6 hours administrative time
Practice Call in rotation with the group, low burden/low frequency

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
Make professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen.
Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests.
Prescribe treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic therapies.
Document all patient encounters and communications appropriately.
Manage the provider/patient relationship.
Receive and resolve patient complaints.
Involved in education and counseling of individuals, families, and groups.
Serve as a health care resources, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
Work autonomously as well as in collaboration with other health care providers and staff as needed.
Participate in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.
Participate in system-wide health management initiatives.
Provide input into the practice sites financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget, capital plan, and personnel issues.
Provides clinical input into the development and review of appropriate clinical protocols and processes.
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops.
Perform other functions as required.
Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings including PCC, provider and site meetings.
Modifies assessment techniques according to patients condition, culture, age, and stage of development.
Maintain coding and encounter data standards for completeness, accuracy, timeliness and reimbursement level, including legible documentation.

Position Summary:
Provides a spectrum of image interpretation, image-guided procedures, and patient care services within the specialty of Diagnostic Radiology and may also possess additional subspecialty expertise. Incumbents may be required to work rotating shifts and participate in call coverage.
Job Requirement
Education/Experience:
Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and three (3) years of clinical practice experience as a radiologist.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Valid License by State of Nevada to practice medicine. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology. Some positions may require one or more of the following certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements

Post-residency fellowship training in the specialty.

UAB Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the DVT Team! In accordance with UAHSF established policies and procedures, the APP is responsible for the provision and management of patient care in a clinical area for a specific patient population including UAB. This population will be patients diagnosed with deep venous thrombosis. Under the general direction of physicians in Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery, and Hematology the APP will perform inpatient DVT consultations, routine management of inpatients with DVT, and outpatient clinic. The APP will utilize critical thinking abilities in the evaluation of care and the triage of DVT patients with the assistance of Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery, and Hematology staff. The APP will display good rapport and professionalism with patients, house staff, and all members of the team. The collaborating physician shall be available for direct communication for consultation and referral or arrange for the same medical coverage by a physician who is preapproved by the State Board of Medical Examiners in the same manner as the collaborating physician of record.
