CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Must maintain current registration with the NM Board of Pharmacy SKILLS: Effective verbal and interpersonal skills are required Basic computer skills are required Familiarity with medical terminology, basic math and reading comprehension skills are preferred. EXPERIENCE: Hospital experience is preferred. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Director, Pharmacy ENVIRONMENT: Bloodborne pathogen B Occasional exposure in daily duties. Little expected risk, but may be exposed unexpectedly to potential infectious materials. Exposure may be superficial and limited to a small amount of fluid. Close quarters in a busy environment. Low risk for infectious disease. Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, allergenic drug products and needle sticks.Moderate exposure to video display terminals. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to move throughout the hospital at a rapid pace for the entire shift. Hearing must be sufficient to answer telephones and eyesight must be sufficient to read requisitions. Hand-eye coordination must be sufficient to perform aseptic technique. Must be able to raise a moderate load (less than 50 lbs.) using sound body mechanics alone or with assistance.
