1966

1966In 1966, the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church United StatesA. recognized a need for senior housing and approved the incorporation of the Shenango Home in Lawrence County, PA.

1992

June 19, 1992 – the first “provisional” Resident Council Meeting was held

1993

June 7, 1993 – The first Annual Meeting of the Longwood at Oakmont Residents Association was held, and the official By-laws were adopted

1996

When Tressa Roupe moved to Bellmead Apartments in 1996, she could not have known that she would live the last 21 years of her life in a series of Presbyterian SeniorCare Network communities.

End of 1996 – Longwood becomes the first CCRC in Pennsylvania (3rd in the nation) to earn CARF accreditation.

1998

1998 – The Parkview building is added to house the Personal Care (Assisted Living) neighborhood

2010

2010 – The Grandview building is opened to accommodate the seniors looking for larger apartments with more amenities, and the StoneRidge dining room is opened to quickly become a favorite place to meet for informal evening dinners

2016

In 2016, Shenango Presbyterian SeniorCare, after receiving 25 years of management consulting services, signs affiliation agreement with Presbyterian SeniorCare Network.

2018

2018- The opening of the MarketPlace Grille and a refresh of the Commons Lobby and Dining Room
