General Responsibilities Provide a safe and healthy environment for infant through preschool children. Model safety practices and good health habits. Classrooms will be arranged and maintained through ITERS or ECERS requirements. Assist with general housekeeping tasks. Use positive reinforcement, positive behavior guidance and promote positive self-concept. Supervise closely indoor and outdoor play, as well as supervising children during rest time. Administer first-aid and give medications when required and follow the medicine form. Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the program. Specific Responsibilities Assist daily in classroom function and routine. Assist in restroom needs for all classrooms. Assist in making sure supplies are stocked and materials are on hand for the teaching staff. Assist in giving breaks throughout the day. Assist lead teacher in completing science, art, and cooking activities. Assist with the charts and graphs (taking data, pictures, etc.) Follow all policies and procedures set forth by The ASP Early Childhood Academy Employee Handbook.
