This role supports the healthy development of young children by planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum in a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment. As the Lead Preschool Teacher, you will create meaningful learning experiences to foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while maintaining strong partnerships with families and upholding VHFLC's commitment to equity, respect, and high-quality care. Responsibilities Plan and implement a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Oregon's Early Learning and VHFLC's philosophy. Supervise and engage preschool-aged children in activities that promote exploration, discovery, creativity, and problem-solving. Establish and maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that supports children's autonomy and cooperation. Foster positive relationships with children and families, greeting each child and caregiver warmly and professionally each day. Utilize positive guidance techniques consistent with VHFLC's policies to promote self-regulation and conflict resolution. AND At least a Step 6 in the Oregon Registry (ORO), or the ability to attain it within 30 days of accepting position. Additionally: Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry.
