Position Summary

Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Interest in working with preschool children and volunteers.
Willingness to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification within two years of employment as a teacher's assistant.
NKCAC-Head Start cannot employ anyone convicted of a felony or who has been found by the Cabinet to have abused or neglected a child.
Ability to work with people of diverse and varying socio-economic backgrounds.
Understanding of and commitment to ADA compliance in classroom settings and interactions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand, walk, and run after young children for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
Ability to sit at, read, and enter data on a computer for prolonged periods.
