    Job DescriptionThe Child Development Center's is seeking a Teacher Assistant who reports directly to the Executive Director of the Child Development Center and the Classroom Teacher. The TA is a full time, 10-month position, who works 8 hours per day and is responsible for assisting the teacher in the supervision of children as well as assisting with the planning and implementation of the curriculum. This is a full-time, grant-funded position. Example of Duties: Assist in the implementation of the curriculum by engaging in classroom activities and encouraging participation by children. Ensure NAEYC, Grow NJ Kids, ECERS, or other quality indicators are followed. Maintain appropriate health, safety and cleanliness standards. Encourage self help skills and good hygiene. Assist teacher in maintaining accurate records, forms and files including assessments, progress reports and rating scales. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality. Follows and adheres to policies and procedures state in the Staff Handbook and of Passaic County Community College. Additional duties as necessary or assigned by administration. Qualifications: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or a CDA Certificate Some experience working with children and families. The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate. Compensation: Salary is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The salary range for this position is $26,793 - $43,961.
