The Group Teacher, under the supervision of the Coordinator of Child Care, will provide support to child care staff in addition to aiding and teaching children in need of educational direction. Hourly rate: $18.00 - Assist in plans, organizes and executes daycare curriculum, lesson plans, procedures and document accordingly; provides positive effect on student; maintain a wholesome classroom atmosphere; effective use of methods and techniques that are age appropriate; conducts bimonthly written observations of children and communicate any concerns; regularly participates, - Completes and maintains quality documentation; assist with designing and maintaining a neat and clean and safe environment for students; promotes student autonomy and self-sufficiency; implements good safety practice in and outside of the classroom; recommends improvement, land participates in classroom daily preparation and cleanup; notifies appropriate staff of safety issue/problems; assist children with routine direct care, including dressing, eating and toileting. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in early childhood education and 2 years classroom experience preferred, 30 college credits in early childhood education and 3 years classroom experience, OR High School graduate or HS Equivalency, and 8 years classroom experience. At time of hire, if minimum qualifications are not met, an educational plan must be implemented and act to remain employed. Must be in good physical and mental health
