KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist French and/or English Teacher(s) and collaborate closely with them in implementing the daily program of activities based on best practices and researched principles of child development and in accordance with the program's curriculum, social-emotional learning program (Positive Discipline) and school culture. Actively supervise students during class time, bathroom time (including but not limited to toileting and diaper changing), lunch time, transition times and during recess times. Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of autonomy, self-esteem, and self-discipline. Assisting with diaper changes and toilet training as needed. Observe each child daily to assess skills, interests, and needs and use this information to facilitate learning and growth. Job Description Responsible to assist the Teacher in providing a warm and nurturing environment in winch the children can grow physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Responsible for assisting in maintaining attendance and observation records on each child, regarding their health, behavior, and development. Responsible for maintaining a good rapport with parents. Responsible for helping children control their behavior using a positive and appropriate approach. Responsible for Family style meals and all requirements of CACFP in the care of children. PERIODIC DUTIES: Responsible for assisting teacher in gathering information on each child for parent conferences. Responsible for attending staff meetings.
