RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for teaching and supervising school-aged students during program operation. Prepare appropriate weekly lesson plans and lead instructions for designated group. Ensure that all equipment is secured at the end of the program day. Assist with all program activities as assigned by Program Director. Ensure compliance to program rules and regulations. Maintain daily attendance records and make reports as required. Participate in general planning of programs and staff training as required. QUALIFICATIONS Must be saved, have a servant's heart, and be a member, in good standing or willing to join and become a member in good standing at FBCG.. Must be a Christian example, as well as support the work and ministry of SMI. Must be at least 19 years of age. Must have at least one (1) year of experience working with children between the ages of 5-12. Must hold a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalence or have successfully completed courses for credit from an accredited college or university; and have successfully completed: 6 semester hours or 90 clock hours or their equivalent of approved pre-employment training; and One of the following: 400 hours of experience working under supervision primarily with school age children in a licensed child care center, public or private school, or in a recreation and parks program or similar setting, or 400 hours of experience caring for school age children as a registered family day care provider, 1 year of college, or A combination of experience and college that together are equivalent to 1 year; and Provide evidence of completing approved continued training at the rate of at least 3 clock hours per full year of employment as a group leader.
